Newbie - FAQ
I go to the chat room often and notice that the LA room is usually the most active. When I become a VIP do I have access to all the VIP chat rooms or just the Boston Room? I just sent in my money order today to become a VIP by the way.

Every once in awhile this question comes up on one of the regional discussion boards. I'm sure Michael can verify this. I always tell the regional community that "the chat room is yours!" LA's room is busy because people got in the habit of using it.
Any one of the local chat rooms can become more active but the people in that community have to make it happen. Start by posting, "I'm going to be in the chat room (whatever) night at 8:00 P.M." Whether or not anyone shows up, post the next day on the board, "We missed you in the chat room last night. We will back in the chat room (whenever) night at 8:00 P.M." It's not going to happen over night. However, if you stick with it, people will start to show up. It only takes one person to start but SOMEBODY HAS TO STEP UP! When I first started moderating the Boston discussion board, it was a ghost town. People would post a question and I would do my best to answer it. When they realized that somebody else was there, others began coming by regularly. We've become pretty active over the last 1 1/2 years. 
Even if 4 providers got together and each committed to be in the local chat room one night a month, say Thursday from 9:00-10:00 P.M. then people would get used to the idea that there's something going on in the chat room every Thursday night. I should check it out. Just try it.
