A good many hobbyists object to referral services, like RoomService 2000 because of the data that's retained that can come back to bite them on the foot.  I agree with them for the most part.  But I just discovered one that I like so much that i did join.  It's called Date-Check (link below).  I like it because:

1.  It's a no charge service.

2   The amount of information that is retained is absolutely minimal.

3.  They do nothing really to investigate the member.  To become a member, you must be verified by a Provider who is already a member of the service.

4.  Providers become members the same way.  They are verified as SP's by other SP's.  Also, because this is a start-up operation, they will allow, insome instance, Clients to verify Providers.  Again this is, I think, only for the time being because they do not have a large base of clients/providers as yet.

I think that this particular service will take off because of the reasons listed above.  I found it last week, got verified in just 1 day, and already used it to book appointments.
