After you have shared way too much info with two or three quality providers and they have gotten pretty comfortable with you, you shouldn't have to share that info again with a new provider. As a lady friend keeps telling me "your swimming with sharks". Tell the next provider to contact one of your past providers to get comfortable and give her the nickname you've established with your past providers.
Can someone explain the "verification process"? Obviously I'm new to this. I'm very concerned about privacy, and it sounds like the verification process is not very private.
For what it's worth, here goes. You're asking a perfect stranger to get into a compromising position because you tell her you're not LE or a whack-job. It seems fair that she's gonna want more than your word on that. Different ladies ask for different things; some less intrusive to others. You should figure out what you're comfortable with, and stick to that. You'll miss out on some great ones, but that's the trade.
You should also search topics on screening for the last couple months. It's covered fairly regularly, and lot's of guys get scared of the unknown (me included, way back when), because... well, it's unknown. It's never bitten me, but that's just me.
Each one of us has a different threshold when it comes down to how much information we're willing and comfortable to share with. How much is too much? That's entirely up to you...because in order to get a kick out of this hobby, you must feel comfortable. And if you feel you're sharing too much information, I doubt you'll feel comfortable. Kills the very essence of hobbying.
I don't have a problem sharing too much information as long as it's done with the right lady. The million dollar question...how do you figure that out? Intensify your homework with the resources available at TER...and I can assure you you'll be a happy hunter!
