Grade inflation

I'm new to this and TER looks like a great service, but doesn't grade inflation defeat the purpose?  It seems to me an unrealistically high percentage of the reviews give 8's,  9's and 10's, especially on appearance.  Having been around real live models, I can tell you there are not many women with that kind of looks, in the trade or not.  And a 10 (once in a lifetime) should be just that.    Are the guys writing these when they're still in afterglow-mode?  or perhaps when they're really horny, and gearing up for the next date?  Is this a trend, and if so, what can be done to reset the bar?

Sorry if this topic has been done before, but I scanned a few pages and didn't see it.

It's because many of us don't read the "how to write" a review section before we post a review .. also we allow our egos to get the better of us, and as always beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That is why a review is just the starting point of your research and should never be the deciding factor in your choice.

Simply put, it is subjective.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

This topic is reposted occasionally, and I believe you had an accurate assessment of it; writers enjoying afterglow, inflating egos, etc. And as another post commented, people are not writing reviews according to the TER guidelines, rather just using their own ten point scale. The ten point system is so common and easily understood that it has become widely accepted even if/when misused in this case. I would not call it a trend as it is an issue/question that has been around for far too long a time.

Instead of "resetting the bar", I would suggest a change in the way one reads/interprets reviews. When I search reviews, I simply divide them into three categories of good, bad, and indifferent; the actual numeric scores are not necessarily considered. Basically, I am researching to find out if a given lady is providing a legitimate service, not a scam of any kind. Determining if ad pictures are accurate, and if service(s) are offered as advertised without any hassles tell me if most had a good positive experience. That is all one can really obtain from reviews anyway as each hobbyist will have a different perspective and experience. Additionally, you get out of a session what you put into it, and I view it as my responsibilty to communucate my desires to acheive positive results.

I primarily am looking for consistently positive reviews over a period of time by known hobbyists. I also don't mind seeing the occasional average or low score among other high scores; this tells me she had an off day, which is only human and also not completely faking the performance; besides you just can't please everyone all the time. I am much more skeptical of a 10/10 review, and usually give little merit to them.

Look at the consistency of the appearance scores. If a lot of guys are rating a lady a 9 and few are rating her an 8, then it is right to assume that she is a looker. This is very much the case if a guy was not impressed by her service but scored her high on looks. As pointed out, beauty is subjective so keep that in mind.

Thanks for the perspectives.  Of course, this is all subjective, but appreciate the thoughtful replies.  Still, leaving aside the TER guidelines, I always felt that a 10 really does mean world-class model looks, and I have only personally known one such person in my life!  (I don't count models etc. met at public events etc.)

I do of course go to the ladies's actual websites, but it is hard to know in most cases how accurate the pictures are.  And of course only a review or personal experience can tell you about her attitude etc.  All in all, even with grade inflation, this is a hugely valuable resource, but it would be nice if guys actually used the whole range in their reviews!

I am a bbw . I have good grades on looks. I have done some modeling. But i am not your normal model. It is all about what the person sees that is with me. Some men would say I am fat . Other say i am a model. Who is right? Everyone is different.
