do one of two things.  One, search for newbie friendly providers here.  Two, join one or more of the verification sites, DateCheck, Preferred411, and RoomService2000.  On P411, providers can indicate if they are newbie friendly, which means their screening is lighter.  Gina, the owner, will work with you to get you verified.  It's better to give one site your personal info than hand it out to several providers.  Once you have seen some newbie friendly providers and asked them if they would give you a reference, things will get easier.  Remember, we all had to start out this way regarding references.

Also suggest you read the self help center, and if you have questions, ask on this forum.

If you are seriously considering the adventure, you should really get third party verification through P411 or Date Check.  They will ask you for personal information, and verify employment to make sure you are not a member of Law Enforcement (LE).    I like Date Check, and the gallery search engine for location.

No verification + No references = No fun.

Keep away from Backpage!  Too many traps await you without knowing how to read the trail.

Once your DC or P411 membership is established, look through the TER ad page for your area, and utilize the area search features of the verification site you belong to. You should stick with well-reviewed, experienced ladies and ask them for any pointers or advise as well.   Contact whomever tickles your fancy, and use the format for contacting them by email I posted a few links down under "Making the Call".

Be sure and read ALL the information on their websites.  Some will state "newbie friendly", others will state you need to have at least a minimum number of references under your belt.

Be safe, read as much information as possible in this section as well as review the "self help center" at the top right of the page.  Knowledge is power, but trust the little hairs on the back of your neck.  If something seems off-kilter, of just plain wrong, it probably is.  Run, don't walk away from those situations.

I personally don't like giving employment info,  but it is the easiest way to get verified.

Apply to verification services like date check or preferred 411

Can a provider also use this service?

you are referring to P411.  Providers put their profile on there for guys to look at like posting an ad on here.  If you see a guy that is a member you can give him an OK which means he is safe to see in your opinion.  You can include a link to your website if you have one, your rate if you want, up to 3 pics, and info about yourself to help potential clients decide if they want to see you.

How do you read the trail on a BP provider? Got a couple in mind and both have several reviews on this site, like 5 to 10, and good reviews on USASG.

Also, what to say when contacting a BP provider? Something like, "hi, my name is X, I'm in the area and I saw your ad on BP, I was wondering if I could come see you?" There's plenty of Info about the non-BP info, but I couldn't find anything pretty much anywhere regarding the BP process.

There is a provider in her 40's I have seen her advertise in the Boston area. She is newbie friendly and states it in the ad text.

I would say if the lady has three years or more of reviews I don't think you'll have any problems telling her your real first and last name and your place of employment.

I know for me I will accept an employment reference.
and when you're dealing with people like me that have a lot of experience , and good repoire with all prior clientelle. Try to pick up provider with 3 plus years of good reviews.minimum.Also pm the reviewers for an insiders info or back channeling
And of course dont pm weird or " off" reviewers. Which there are a few . definitely choose one of the hobbyist that has a lot of experience with the higher class ladies and a lot of reviews possibly 15 or more as well as a lot of white list.
these are the guys that all the women thought were awesome a whitelist means they think that he is cool so don't go and ask someone who has a lot of negative reviews they're probably not somebody that is an active hobbyist and they don't understand how it works.....
.
.
but this point we have a routine down where we call and sound formal so that you will not be suspect of doing anything shady.
for me if I call a place of employment I run it by the client in question so he knows the story if they bring it up to him.
I call up and say I am from so-and-so loan company just calling to check in see if so and so is in fact employed as he is applying for a loan through so in so loan company
now here's the thing if you give me a link to a website that says l & M construction and the website was launched in January of 2014 now common sense you have to understand why we wouldn't accept that
if you are not comfortable with the scenario that I mentioned you can make up another type of scenario you can both agree on before she makes the call if they do run it by you you do want to sound like you know what they are talking about so they will not get suspicious.
now you will also have to provide the provider in question that phone number to your place of employment which you must be able to search on google and it must be a real business.
because those of us who mostly see regulars when we do want to let in a new person we more than likely are going to cross-reference any type of information you give us in side and out.
for a last minute appointment if I really don't have any other information me personally I will accept a real first and last name and the name of a 4-star a better hotel in the Boston area.
I will then call the cops front desk and make sure.
you cannot be connected to a room by just knowing the room number through the front desk as many of you must know
however if the person give you the real first and last name you can be connected to their room by the people at the front desk at the hotel.
then in addition to that showing an ID upon my entrance.
you just don't know but I'm sure you will be able to find someone that has some form of the system with a can meet up with a newbie.....
one more word of advice since you are a newbie do not do not mention anything concerning sex for a fee to the person you're asking.
and again where you don't know what you are getting into and you are a newbie I would advise you to not have the money personally and put the money on the dresser or in the bathroom I'm sure you may not be able to tell who is safe and who is not safe so just for your own protection to cover your own b***
if you do decide to take that plunge and go on BP and just go see someone random many guys do try and go do that
I would just be weary of discussing any type of sex act over the phone or in person with the lady she will most definitely assume you are law enforcement
keep in mind it's not legal for two consenting adults to meet up however exchanging money for sex acts is a legal I would not discuss sex acts with any of these women I am sure if you are polite and you do whatever it is they are asking of you to reassure them.
and don't ask them to bend the rules or be a dick about it.
if they've got years and years worth of reviews and they know what they're doing trust me you're not going to have to worry about a small amount of your personal information in the hands of any of these professionals
another small word of advice to a man who is considering getting into the hobby
immediately after receiving a phone call or text message always make sure to delete your call log as well as your text message log as soon as possible and do not make a habit of leaving pieces of paper laying around with women's names and numbers and locations on it
and likewise on our end we give you the same respect issue not keep records or pieces of paper with your name on it or things like that
I'm sure someone will have some form of weird rules to make themselves safe about going to see a newbie I know I have my little song and dance I would put a newbie through and some of them may be disrespectful question it but the thing is you don't want to question them why would you want to do an appointment with a woman who is not at ease and doesn't feel safe
it would not be a fun experience for either parties so I really don't understand the guys that try to push it when a woman tells and politely on the website what their attic it is and what the reservation form contain
try perusing some of the women in your areas reservation sites that way you do not have to bother them by asking them on necessary questions they usually state what is mandatory or not on their form

I do know there are quite a few ladies that use BP as an ad source.  They hate the flakes that it generates.
Since you're using an alias, you have VIP status and full access to their reviews.

5-10 reviews and if they are decent, I'd not worry too much about them being ripoffs.

So if I'm cruising BP for fun, here's what I'd suggest:
a) highlight and right-click the phone number, and Google the number to see what kinds of ads and history show up.  You'll see multiple websites that aggregate on line ads, or other review sites that can't be named here, and check them out.   Also, used the advanced search in TER to search the phone number as well.

b) select a couple of photos, and run the pictures through Google Images, or Tineye.  You'll see the majority of the photos are stolen from other websites, other models, etc.  If you want to book someone that uses fake photos, good luck to ya.

c) TER reviews aren't a 100% guarantee, but take a look at the reviewer as well.  If the only reviews they do are 9's and 10's, and there are only a couple, it's probably not a good thing.

d) If they don't have reviews, then you've pretty much got the script when talking to them.  I'd also give them a length of time and a couple specific times you have in mind.  If you ask them if they have reviews or verification, it'll indicate you are not just some horn dog schmuck wanting cheap pussy in 30 minutes or less, but a professional monger.   They might have changed phones, and have info to make it a bit more secure.

Hope that helps.   Have fun and be safe.

You get to post your photo on the regional gallery, you get access to their references, and you can give them references as well.  A friend showed me the view from her side and there's really good information, as well as some screening tools available.   It's one additional tool in your toolbox, and is a great way to build your brand up to a higher level of professionalism.   IMHO
