Hello Folks,

Wondering if any of you can fill me in on what 'references' means. If you are new to the hobby, and want to see a provider who is well rated (for many different reasons) they all require references. If you have none how do you obtain them? Anyway feel a bit lost on what it all means.

A provider reference is a provider who will vouch for you and tell other providers that you are a respectful client.

Contact those you have seen before, and see if they will serve as a reference for other providers.

If you are new to the hobby, and have no references, but want to see providers who require them. Is being verified with 411 or some other service usually enough?

Crazyshit's answer is correct if you have seen providers before, but if you haven't seen any yet, then obviously you don 't have provider references. In that case you need to look for "newbie friendly" providers, and usually you have to be willing to give up some personal information, like your real ne and job info. If you are going to do that, make sure it is a reputable provider. Get VIP here and read reviews, so you can find well reviewed and reputable ladies.

You might also consider joining P411 or one of the other verification services. Use the search feature on the top of this page and search things like "references," "screening," "p411" etc. You will find many threads discussing this. The topic comes up almost daily.

Also read the self help manual.

If you have not seen any ladies before, I recommend signing up for P411. They will do the needed checks on you, & then "OK" you & there are usually ladies on P411 that will see "newbie" guys. I do not recommend seeing un-reviewed gals off BP in an attempt to get references as 1)Many times ladies will not take ladies with no TER/review history as a form of a reference & 2)Many times the ladies exclusive to BP will not give references to other ladies.

Depends on the lady. Once you have been verified by P411, you can then see a list of ladies who are "newbie friendly" & go from there.

Is to get screened the old-fashioned way by supplying your personal information, which may include your workplace info.

P411 is not the same as references, but there are many providers who are willing to see clients without reference if they have joined P411. You can look them up in P411. Once you have seen a provider, you can request an "okay" through P411 and she'll become your reference.
