Appreciate your reply. Yes, my main concern is SO & family. Don't have the funds to do this often, other than occasional business trip. Hard to develop trusting relationship in the beginning. Thanks, I guess there's no fail-safe answer.

I'm obviously a newbie, or else I wouldn't be asking this. How do we know the provider isn't undercover? What can we do to avoid getting caught? Even the reviews can be fake, posted by the providers themselves or authorities to set up someone, right?

Read reviews from a reliable source. The review information should help you decide whether a lady is safe to visit. Check out the membership options here and what the options provide you in terms of information.
Discretion will go a long way toward helping you having stress free hobbying. Insure that you engage ladies that take discretion seriously. If you have an SO, you may want to take precautions that you erase tracks of your hobbying such as phone call information, cash withdrawals from ATMs, websites visited by you, travel arrangements, ect. If you SO bust you, expect that you will get hammered.
Reviews can be faked. What you should do is look at the number of reviews that a lady has and also look at the number of reviews that hobbyists that review her have. When many reviews can be linked to the lady, she is probaly a legitimate provider. But the is no certainty, that is where utilizing common sense comes into play, use all information at your disposal to make a sound choice. You can also try calling a lady for a brief chat (do not waste their time, make the call long enough to get a sense of what the ladies are about but do not keep them on the line while you drone on), or exchange email.
Given the current environment in several cities, there is no certainty that a lady that you want to engage will not be an undercover cop or have been compromised. But taking the type of precautions that are mentioned above reduces the possibility that you will get handcuffs instead walking a way with a smile on your face. The bottom line is that if LE really want you and is willing to invest the time needed to get you, they will get you. There is nothing that you can do beyond being discreet and using solid common sense when making choices.

Appreciate the reply. I guess there's no fail-safe answer and I don't have the funds to do this often, only on the occasional business trip. So, its hard to develop relationships. Thanks.

YES Law Enforcemnt(LE)is a constant concern, however  it is probably the least of your worries. Personally, I have been a hobbyist for 17 years I’ve participated in 4 states, and countless and cities/towns.  Most of my activity has been in the Phoenix area, with the infamous Sheriff Joe.  I have yet to have even a hint of a problem with LE.  Be careful and selective.  I doubt that any  LE agency has the resources, or interest to post false reviews over the past 3 or 6 months..

Considerations with your SO, or any children you might have should be a greater concern.

If you're like me, no SO and no kids, relax  and have fun, but always be careful out there.

much of this is pretty low-risk stuff. don't get them from the street, because most of your vice are out there.... trying to get the dirty people with the dirty girls.... especially when they can get a drug bust alonng with it often.
