Do any of you seasoned hobbyists prefer to hobby while away on business?  I would imagine it would cause the least damage if something were to go wrong than if in your hometown.  Example, it would be harder for your SO to find out if something bad happened out of town.  Won't have to worry about your name in the local paper.  Interested in hearing your thoughts.

Many hobbyists with SOs practice the "don't eat where you shit" principle. Their marriages usually break up anyway because the wife/SO complains that they're always out of town on business.

by S.O.  I've  enjoyed the hobby in 8 cities and 4 countries.  The key is doing your TER homework in advance, and have a backup plan if provider no shows or cancels.

I also hobby at home, I guess I like to hobby. lol

I have run into the problem of canceling /no shows of course,because I've been busy in 05',but hate 2 go as far as double booking.....in case I really want 2 see the second provider in someday.  So how far do U go in making sure Plan B is better then Plan A? thanks SS....

Even when it is local. I just tell the SO that I am going on a business trip. Just make sure the hotel is not to close to home.

1.  The company is picking up the cost of the hotel room.  2.  Hobbying sure beats watching TV by yourself in the hotel room.  But, if you travel with others, it could get difficult to conceal.
