As my "first" time should I use an agency or independent? For someone with "no" background (reviews) I would think an agency would be the easier way. And one more thing at an agency is there a bar/drinks to set me at ease? Thanks for the help!

Largely depends on what city you're in.  Some cities are agency friendly, and some are not.

. . . are your best bet, personally I prefer Independents 'cos that's what I am and we rock.  :)

My personal preference is independents, I would rather deal with the "owner" of the business.  Agencies can be a good option, but as stated it can vary from city to city

But I am confused about your comment.  Are you using background (reviews) to mean the same thing as references?  They are not the same. Reviews are when the hobbyist shares his experience so others can read about the service of a particular provider.  References are when a provider you have seen previously will vouch for you with another provider.  From what I know, agencies also look for references.  In either case, agency or indie, if you do not have references, your initial rate may be higher or they may just not see you.

And as for an agency offering a bar/drinks, sound to me like you are looking for a brothel or one of the "bunny ranches" in NV.  Most agencies offer outcall only, so any drinks will be what you provide at your location.  I have seen indies (incall) who did have some wine waiting for me.

Perhaps you need to check out the info on this link
