I had a quick question for fellow and senior more experienced members here at TER including the providers.

What are the risks of BBBJ?

This is my favorite question. It is my pleasure to give you the correct answer.

BBBJ is not safe sex. You are exposing yourself and your partner to a few incurable diseases:

√ Herpes Type 1 and Type 2 (which is contagious even when symptoms are not present).
√ Hepatitis (which you could get if you practice rimming as well).
√ Genital or oral warts (caused by viruses in the HPV groups). HPV acquired while performing oral sex is a major risk factor for oral and throat cancers, especially for women.

You are also exposing yourself to a few bacterial diseases, which are treatable, but yikes:

√ Gonorrhea (which is difficult to treat),
√ Chlamydia
√ Syphilis

On the other hand, DATY is relatively safe since the site of the infection is the cervix.

Play safe and get tested regularly,

Anais

Your next question should be about the probability of infection of the STD's that AnaisH brought to your attention.

This is not a safe 'hobby', but with the right precautions, the risks can be managed.  Educate yourself to the pitfalls and probabilities of infections and then decide for yourself which way you want to go.

And as is always posted on  TER threads, when you do not know the complete history of your partner, and they don't know the complete history of their partners, nothing is 100%.  The term that the medical  literature, infectious disease literature, and organizations like CDC use for completely knowing the history of your partners and all their partners is "longstanding mutually monogomous sex."

But to put it in perspective again the risk of BBBJ, when there are no lesions on the penis, and no lesions or cuts in the  mouth, are many many many many many times less than the risk of unprotected vaginal sex. Did I mention there is a stark gynormous difference in risk between the two practices?

HIV and other infectious diseases can be transmitted by vaginal secretions, but they are considerably more concentrated in semen.  So there are two bottom lines.  No practice is 100% safe, but oral sex, and BBBJ are significantly safer than unprotected vaginal and unprotected anal sex.  Unprotected anal sex is the most risky.  Far and away most providers are educated as to what I've written, and far and away most providers insist on a condom for vaginal and anal sex.
Some providers use female condoms because they are comfortable with them, and many have written about that on these forums.

This is reenforced by virtually every substantive piece of medical literature and every respected research/epedemiology/infectious disease facility or department including the CDC.

There's no such thing as "safe sex" only "safer sex." The only thing that prevents STD 100% of the time is avoiding sexual contact (heavy petting may be the exception....I have yet to hear of a case where someone got an STD through their hand, but I suppose stranger things have happened).

I'd say that, by and large, it's safer for providers not to ingest ejaculate when it comes to STD prevention. Now of course, pre cum can transmit disease, so I'm not saying that avoiding CIM is the end all be all, but overall, I do think it's safer. But there are diseases that do pass just through skin to skin contacts, like herpes and HPV. Fortunately, many people who contract these diseases are asymptomatic most, if not all of the time. Most people with HPV clear the virus in a matter of a few years. Of course, there are some strains that can lead to cervical cancer in women.

HIV through oral sex is rare (especially if you're the receiving partner), but not completely out of the realm of the possible.

Gonorrhea, Syphilis and Chlamydia can all be transmitted through oral. Fortunately, they are all curable.

You need to weigh the risks against the rewards and determine for yourself which one is more worthwhile. You can minimize risks as best you can: see lower volume providers, see those that perhaps to do not offer CIM, and get tested at least every three months.

Of course, you can always request a CBJ if you think those risks are too high. That minimizes risk significantly, but not entirely.

And...if any risk is too much for you, you may have to rely on old Rosy Palmer and porn. I can promise you you'll never get an STD from that :)

And to answer the questions, , anecdotally I have received of bare back blow jobs and the only detrimental effect has been a considerable lightening of my wallet!  I've also been involved with some girls in this industry who doing bbbj & swallowing was their stock in trade who also never contracted anything.  Hell, we figured out one time that Kyndal must have sucked off at least a thousand guys to completion in a two year period and she never got anything!  As others had noted, there will always be some risk when you engage in this activity and like all of us, you need to engage in a cost/benefit analysis of whether the increased enjoyment outweighs that risk.

blow her eye sockets out.
