The simple explanation for Back-Channel is corresponding with others via email rather than by posting and replying to posts.

You should use a separate email address, preferably web based. By web based, I mean use an email address which you access by visiting a website rather than by having the email downloaded to your computer (POP3).

I know what it means but can someoone explain how it's done.....other than the obvious - post your e-mail address.  If that it, are'nt there risks to posting your e-mail address ?

First of all, don't post using an alias.

Everyone has a little envelope next to their main handle. If you are a VIP, you can send and recieve messages by clicking on the envelope. If you aren't a VIP, then you have to post your email addy.
