Would I rather give my info to one, two, or three agencies, such as these, or keep giving it out to providers I have never met?  To answer your first question, I don't actually know, maybe someone else does.  As far as I know, they are all reputable and widely used around the country.  I use P411 and DC, as RS2K is not widely used in my area.  check around in your area to see which is most prevalent.  DC is only $125 for a lifetime membership, pretty good deal IMHO.  P411 is more expensive.  Don't know about RS2K.

RS2K, P411 and Date Check ask for a lot of inforamation.  Has any of them ever responded to a subpoena or otherwise given to LE information they have received?  Is there a conventional wisdom on the safety of the verification servcies?

If you can, try to get verified by P411 and Date-Check with provider okays. That way, you don't need to give them your full name, address or any work info. Also, they accept cash payments and other alternatives to your credit card. I don't know about RS2K.

I've never heard of them being subpoenaed or coopoerating with LE to identify members. It's not likely that LE would do that to investigate a prostitution misdemeanor. Besides, P411 is Canadian. However, there are other ways the info they collect could be compromised, so I think it's wise to keep your exposure to  minimum.

DOnt know about the others but p411 is pretty good from my experience

I recently joined p411 and it was painless and only had to provide work # the problem is that most P411 providers won't see you if you do not have any "Okays" and some other still require all your info even if you have them..it is hard to get started.

where it's legal and it can't be reached with a US subpoena.  As for not having any OKs, all you need to do is surf through the providers in your area using P411's search function.  There are plenty who are listed as "newbie friendly" and require no OKs.   See a couple of them and get them to OK you and the entire world opens up.

I use Backpage and i just ignore the ads that ask for RS2k and the like.  

Sometimes I only find out later that the provider has these requirements.  Of course by this point you're all turned on by her photos and really frustrated about the obstacle.  But I learned just to say no thanks and move on.
