Really newbie question

I have a really newbie question or questions. I never hired anyone before or used any type of service. My problem is that I am a shy person so I don't know all the lingo of what to ask for or not ask for. How do I do this? Will everything be in secret? I see things like back ground checks and all, I don't want my company finding out what I am doing. Also is there a worry of being arrested or anything? How can I cover myself with something like that?

each of your questions is asked and answered every week.

The newbie manual will help, but here's a condensed version: don't ask about services -- instead, do careful research and go with a well-reviewed provider and read her reviews to determine what types of services she offers.

Without provider references, work information is one way that they verify you (never give this out to a provider who doesn't have an excellent reputation and track record); joining sites such as Date-Check or Preferred411 is another way. In terms of work information, they just call and verify that you work there -- they call and ask the receptionist to transfer the call to you and then hang up as it's being transfered.

One way around this is by using an agency. In general, agencies do less screening.

If you do your research and go with a well-known lady with a stellar reputation your chances of being arrested are almost zero.

As a newbie, the most important thing for you is research, research and research.
