How much did you make the last time you spent several hours in front of your webcam waiting for the idiots who keep typing "Show me your tits" in free chat to get lost and for an actual paying customer to show up?  $3 or $4 bucks a minute for putting up with that BS and most of the time they get to keep about half.  Easy money?

They are horrible. I know several providers who used them for extra income, and the time it took to make just their hourly escort rate on a cam site, was about 4-6 hours. You're paid by the minute, and there are many breaks where you're just sitting there. The average "call" if you will, is about 5-10 min. You do the math. If you have to sit there for an hour and only make 10 bucks, it's not worth it.

Last night I was on about two hours and earned $100. Not too shabby for sitting around answering questions about what it's like to be an escort.

You'll see what I mean after about a month. If you need the money and have patience, it might be something for you. I simply don't have the patience to deal with dumb asses, unless the money is already there lol. For 2 hours of work I am paid at least 700, and quite frankly, I would rather suck a d(ck than talk to those idiots on cam sites lol.

I tried it out and it wasn't for me.

There are many factors, though it's not too different from the real thing. Your appearance, charisma, creativity are all important. Cam quality is important. Also, the ability to create fun "tipping games" that entice people to get involved if you choose the "tips for profit" route. If you choose the "private/group for profit" route it then becomes a question of how well you can tease and get to know people.

Tips = show more in public to receive smaller amounts from a wider range of people
Groups/private = show less in public to receive larger amounts from a smaller range of people

Shills in the escort game is bad, but in the cam world can be helpful. It definitely helps to have a small group of friends or customers in your room early on - people who enter a cam room with very few people in it will often get cold feet and leave. Small/empty rooms are also prone to people who seek a more personal experience, and will chat with you for hours but often won't give enough (if any) tips to make it worth the time
