I wasn't sure how to word that subject title but how long before an appointment is it deemed alright to make the call?

And this is in regards to both situations .. calling very early (how many days in advance) and calling last minute (how many hours prior).

Thanks for any help.

I would say depending on the kind of provider - Agency vs Indy, local vs touring, full time vs part time you would get different answers ...

However, majority would prefer advance booking.

Also, if you are a newbie, it takes longer to screen you than if you are member of verification site with number of references.

I have no issue with gentlemen setting up appointments a long time in advance. It's more problematic if they want to set up an appointment at short notice, especially if they are a new client. The verification process takes time, particularly when you are waiting for references to get back. If I'm available and can get a guy screened, I don't have a minimum, but in terms of what is feasible I would say that it's difficult to set up a meeting with a new client on the same day he contacts me. Less than three hours notice is usually impossible as I need time to get ready and travel to the appointment as well as to screen him.

If the gentleman wants to set up an appointment more than a week in advance, I usually contact him on the day of the appointment to confirm it's still on.

and of course, I search out providers in that city to keep me company during my stay.  I've never yet had anyone say it's too early and ask me to call later.

I usually send confirmations a couple of weeks and then a couple of days prior to our meeting too.  I think that is appreciated.

When seeing someone locally however, I usually book one to two weeks prior, and confirm the day before.

If I know my travel schedule, I will make an appointment up to 2-3 weeks in advance. I also make contact every 5-6 days to let the lady know our date is still "on".

I don't normally do last minute appointments but, have on a few occasions.  Then, it is up to the availability of the lady of you choice.

Thanks for all these answers, seems like a lot of you do book many weeks in advance and don't have a problem with it.

For certain reasons, August 21st is a date which I'd have to book on and I was just wondering if it was strange to make the call this early but I guess it's fine.

...as far as I'm concerned. Most other ladies I've met wouldn't have a problem with this either, though you can check by asking the lady you have in mind when you conatct her.

If you want to be on the safe side, book it now then send her a short email a couple of days before the appointment, saying that you're looking forward to it. You could also email her on the day of the appointment to confirm if it makes you feel better.

Have fun!

Generally for me, about a week or so in advance.  I'm not a newbie, so screening is usually fairly painless.  I have never done last minute dates, I like the anticipation.
