Who's getting what?  With the plethora of bad stuff you can get these days what's the honest truth to getting something from an escort?  I had an appt scheduled for next week in vegas with what I believe is a quality gal, based on reviews here, but had to cancel due to other commitments.  Bummer as I was looking forward to it.  It had been in my mind, what if I caught something and got busted by my S.O.?  What's you're take on the real degree of danger?

The risk is there. We have some members that can give you the mathematical odds of you contracting a particular SDT from sex acts. As far as catching something, there is no real certainty that you will not, even if you are careful. But you can make choices that minimize your risk. Read my reponse to the post above. The suggestions are not scientific, but they illustrate how I attempt to minimize the risk level for me.
The largest question that you need to ask and answer is whether hobbying at all is too risky for your state of well being. If you are going to be constantly feeling guilty about cheating on your SO, then you are probaly off getting marriage counseling with your SO with emphasis on spicing up your sex life and communication with her. Some guys have posted on TER about getting caught and loosing everything (SO, kids, lots of possessions). Do a risk assessment, if the conclusion is that the risks of hobbying are too large for you then do not do hobby.
