you can always check the reviewer to see how many reviews he's submitted.

After you've read up on the "Newbie Manual" & checked out several pages on the various boards, you'll need VIP.  
To check out a Lady, look at the reviews.  Does she have multiple reviews?  Look at the reviewers, do they have multiple reviews over time?  This is what is refered to as a "Well Reviewed" lady.  
This hobby can never be "risk free".  We want to minimize the risk.

The biggest risk is some sort of scam by a provider / or fake provider.  Well reviewed ladies eliminate that risk as well.

You also need to learn about private e-mail, hobby phones, risks of using work computers/internet for hobby, 2 call system...  to control other risks.  

When I started, I promised myself I'd not do anything stupid. I was lucky (and LUCK is not to be relied upon).  Now, thanks to the good folks on TER, I know how to be careful while enjoying myself.

Have you ever known a cop? Been friends with one? Think for a minute – cops are overworked and under budgeted. Their vice activity is mainly triggered by overt public nuisances. So they work to keep down street walkers. They will go after a provider working out of a townhouse when the neighbors complain. And they might set up a sting using CL to quiet down activity in an area that's gotten out of hand.

Is someone going to pay for a TER membership and write a fake review to make a single arrest? No.

You need to be constantly vigilant about LE but you can also go overboard. The fact is all of the LE activity appears to have virtually no impact on the overall level of prostitution. They're in a holding pattern.

I thought they were all fantasy stories written for entertainment.
