At the age of 51, am I a minority in the hobby? I was looking
at the poll archieves and in a age question. only 2% were
51 and older. I didn't feel old before....

I'll turn 51 in 2 weeks.

The poll result reflects the age of TER members who took the initiative to vote. There are many non-TER hobbyists and there are TER members who's too busy to check the polls, like I do. I think there are much more than 2% who's 51 and older.

Oh, to be 51 again!!  I am about to turn 63 and there are plenty of hobbyists older than I am.   At least I think so.   LOL

I just got out of the opposite two percent and let me tell you that age is not really an issue in the hobby, well, at least not in my experiences. As long as you know what your looking for and have a good time you should be fine.

Actually I think the true average age of active hobbyists would be 50 something.

I am 44 and would love to be still doing this in my 50 something.lol

Somehow I get the impression at 60 something you will pick up the pace a bit. LOL

I guess I'm in the minority here; I'm in my 20's.  Fortunately, that works in my favor in the hobby, since the providers I use seem very pleased to see a client theier age.
