This is my second day browsing TER, and all I can say is, wow...what a great resource.

I'm in the (apparently very common) newbie phase of trying to get enough courage to arrange my first encounter. And I have all the nervousness and aprehension mentioned in numerous threads below by other newbies.

As I read these threads....most of which are met with good advice like, relax, have fun, don't miss it, etc. ... I can't help but wonder who in this community actually has run into trouble, and what *that* was like.

Fears are best rested with knowledge. I would love to have some realistic information about when things did go wrong (does anyone ever get busted, or catch something unpleasant, or run into some unfriendly people with big knuckles, or any of that other cliche stuff?) What happened? What did you learn?

There are several hazards associated with this hobby, so you must decide if hot love with a young hottie is worth the risk.

The most common problem is exposure of your actions to your current chikadee.  This can be devastating if you are married with assets and children.  It can be avoided by never doing out calls to your home, not doing business with girls who insist on getting your real name and by being careful.  There are very few detectives more intrusive or determined than a wife who thinks she is getting cheated on.  BEWARE.

Another pitfall is if you confuse sexual access and acting for love.  This is a business.  The girl does not love you and never will.  You are an income source.  Men who fall in love with a provider face nothing but financial and emotional ruin.  BEWARE.

Disease is typically not a problem except if you pick up streetwalkers, which is an exceptionally bad idea.  You might as well stab yourself in the dick with a kitchen fork.

Cops are also not a problem except if you pick up a streetwalker.  Then you will face hefty fines, embarrasement, exposure and many hours of irritating lectures.

So be careful to cover your tracks if you have a wife, do not fall in love, NEVER use streetwalkers, and you can have many very exciting experiences.

I have had about 2 dozen encounters with providers, mostly through agencies, and have yet to have a problem other than the occaisional disinterested girl. Most are a real treat to be with. So go ahead, indulge. If your choice has several favorable reviews I would not hesitate to arrange an encounter. Maybe I've been lucky but I would be interested also if anyone has had LE or poor hygeine problems.

I was in another city away from home, and met a girl in the bar/restaurant of the hotel I was staying at.  She told me she worked for a local agency and just hung out when things were slow.  I believed her, made a date and promptly got myself arrested as she was undercover LE.  Fortunately my attorney knew a very prominent criminal lawyer in that city and he was able to get me out and expunge the record literally overnight.

The lesson I learned is never to do anything like just picking up a provider, but rather do some legwork beforehand and meet an established provider.

Insofar as poor hygiene, etc. is concerned, I've been as lucky as you, Randy.  But that's probably because I learned to do this homework.

I often forget when I see a provocative hottie solo in a bar that she may be LE looking to enhance her arrest record. How often have I been in t he same situation, but was lucky.
The facts don't matter. She can turn almost any flirting into a bust because cops are not bound by the truth.

You say you were caught in a sting...good for you for getting out of it. What was your wrong move that brought in the cops? Very interested in any advice on what not to do.

Real cutie in mini skirt, great legs, pouty lips, and a police badge that I didn't see 'til it was too late.  My little head short-circuited my big head. I don't pick up in bars any more.   Thank you TER for making that part of the hobby obsolete for me.
