So say you go to meet with a provider, and it turns out to be law enforcement. If there was no prior talk of illegal activity, will you still get busted? Like you just call up the provider, and then go to their in call location. Couldn't you just claim that there was no illegal activity going on?

does LE make fake prefered411 accounts? i'm sure they can get the funds and make fake identification, etc. so i guess one needs to use a combination of sources.

This is a good question for the vets out there, and something I've wondered myself...how common is it that a provider will work with LE to entrap clients? Seems to me it's not likely, but I'm not sure.
That only becomes an issue if LE were to try and target a particular client - but what do they care about that? One John is as good as another to them.
If you contact a provider, the entrapment defense goes out the window because you were seeking the providers services.
An entrapment defense would only make sense if she contacted a client (and most likely a new one at that), and tried to persuade said client to come see her for sex for pay.

Claiming you came just for a massage is, at best, admitting to some illicit activity on your part as massage therapists are supposed to be licensed. You could claim you didn't know that they were not licensed, but it's still a pretty skimpy defense. Very often guys who are collared by LE do fight the charges and win, but these are Pyhric victories for the reasons I described above.
How do new gals get started? They hook up with expereinced gals or with agencies where they gain some cred and reviews. Sometimes an expereinced hobbyist will see a new gal but only if the hobbyist is satisfied with the kind of demeanor that the gal has. I have seen a couple of gals without reviews based on their participation on these boards and therefore felt safe with them. Newbies need to get their sea legs before trying this kind of thing.
And yes, unfortunately, sometimes even a well established gal will "flip" and cooperate with LE to save her ass. Nothing is 100% guaranteed, but the game is about percentages, and you add to your safety by magnitudes when you stick to the well established providers.
If you show up (in some jurisdictions, her AD is admissable in others not)... everyone knows why you are there BUT you've yet to utter the magic words Sex (or any code for same) for Money. Odds are the Undercover cops will chat & question & lead you into saying those magic words which make up the crime. It's even possible that they might mis-hear your words, mis-interpret, or even make something up. You might or might not be on audio or video. But it's unlikely that you'll walk out.
Seeing well reviewed providers is one of the best ways to avoid a sting. The likelyhood of a scam is much greater than LE. If something seems to good to be true... or she's Drop Dead Gorgeous with a below the prevailing rate price... These are WARNINGS that things are not right. It takes time & experience to pick up on this. Reading the self help section & this board... can give you a big head start in learning what you need to know.
You contacted her because of a website or an email address or phone number or ad. There is already enough information to show that you are calling about paying money for sex.
This is why it pays to do your own research beforehand.
OK, as others have said, you show up, you are not walking out without steel bracelets. I went thru this in DC, which your name indicates is your zone too. cuffed, perp walked, holding tank, then a 5 x 6 x 6 ft high cell for 18 hours without a drink, fingerprints, DNA and mugshot on file forever with The Man, arrest record (conviction don't matter) forever. OK, managed to lie my way out of it with the wife and claim it was a drunk and disorderly. OK it was a misdemeanor and "only" cost $3K all said and done and a Saturday "John School". The arrest was the punishment, the conviction was only icing. And if you show up, no matter how cool you are, you WILL be arrested.
Plus, you're less cool than you think, and a carefully crafted question, containing a euphamism the judge is known to accept as 'sex for money', and a mumbled confused reply by you the cop can testify was affirmative, and boom, you're toast, though you didn't mean to say, though you never touched your money, though you never touched her.

I always figure, if I get caught, I will just get a lawyer and not play games. Not say anything. I think the weird behavior will just make you more suspect. If they claim to be the police and several other LE come in, then you are screwed. Just shut up and give in and then get a lawyer.
Now, I have seen some where they avoided LE by scoping out the parking lot or scoping out the girl immediately on enter and then leaving the situation.
