I wonder while looking at some of the ads out there, why do some ladies link to their reviews here when the reviews are poor? I suppose everyone has their own thoughts on what multiple three’s for performance mean, but I wouldn’t think that it would be something to direct potential clients to.
One provider I went to proudly links to her TER review page. There are only 3 reviews there: mine and two other guys. The top guy trashed her looks [I don't think that was fair] and service, while I and the third guy both said that she was only good for a quick pop. The third guy also said she was a hot time, but his review wasn't so convincing.
the provider might have cheaper rates. Or some people, who wouldn't consider visiting providers with no reviews, might see them in emergency situations.
Reviews average out... any provider is going to have stellar days and off days... and, you also have to take a look at the reviewer. I have seen more than one client who posts reviews here on TER and it seems like all they do is whine and complain about something....
I can imagine the guy that takes comfort in knowing reviews exist, and doesn't bother to look at them. I wouldn't recommend that approach, but I can see it happening.
That only works if you want to be famous for being famous. If you're promoting something you want to de-emphasize the negative - all the way out of sight if possible.
One or a few bad reviews among several really good ones is understandable. But consistently bad reviews? Honesty might be a virtue, but it can be a costly one for the client.
