P411 and date-check will accept self-employed workers. I think DC is a better deal, but it's regional.

Many agencies don't use or give references.

I am a complete newbie, I haven't seen a single provider yet.  Every time I get close I run in to the two reoccuring themes for newbies:
1. Newbies should only see well reviewed providers
2. Well reviewed providers won't see newbies

So I guess I'm faced with the same question every newbie is faced with, how do you resonably convince a stanger that you are not a creep or LE.  

As far as I can tell the only options that I have are:
1.  Call an un/under-reviewed girl who doesn't care about screening
2.  Try and get an agency to accept me without any referals
3.  Sign up with a site like P411 with no guarantee that anyone will accept that without a referal to go wtih it.  (also you have to trust them when they say they will not keep your personal info past the verification process)

I know this has been covered on this site, but in all of my searching I haven't found an answer that works for me.  I'm self employed so employer info doesn't seem to work for providers or verificaion sites.  Any suggestions?

checked with D.C yesterday won't accept retired or self employed retired. 411 i checked wants way to much info. drivers lic. copy, utility bill, copy of social security on & on. not worth it!!!!!!  so I see a catch 22 happy retirement at 55 the golden years!!!!!!!!!!!

One way is to go with a well reviewed lady who will verify you with some information and without refferal. It may take several tries. You will likely have to let them know your real name and also some other personnal info. It all depends on the lady.

My first times I didn;t have refferals or reviews.

When I started, I started by searching TER for reviewed ladies in the area that met broad requirements. This gave me a list of over 10 ladies I would be interested in seeing. Then some dropped off immediately as requiring references I didn't have. That still left enough to try getting in touch with. I had a similar work problem as my job puts me at the clients site using the clients phone and my company office was half way across the country. I emailed a lady and explained my problem, she worked with me and we managed to satisfy her needs and I was set.
The big thing was not narrowing down my search too much while I was new. Reading reviews of all the ladies I could in my area to find someone I felt would work with me. This also got me familiar with a couple of key reviewers in the local area. That enabled me to consider some not as well reviewed ladies because they had reviewed them. With a big enough pool to try from I found one who would see me. Later after I had seen some ladies I went back to the ladies I couldn't see at first.

Sign up with P411 or other verification site and give it a try with the ladies.  The first one or two might require more information to verify you directly (it CAN be done!) and then they can add their vouches to your verification site profile.  It should be easy from there!

Well i agree with SolaLove you can get verified on those sites everyone else has mentioned..
