since I am new to this hobby i am trying to take all the steps necessary to make sure i can go about this the right way. I am concerned about verification services such as preferred411 and date check. It says they ask for you exactly the way you you specify. Then what? I do not have a typical job and am worried about discretion. thanks

These verification services have ways to get around them. They are all easy and pretty painless. Explain your situation, and they will come up with something to satisfy you.

Think of it this way... would you rather give your personal information to every provider or to a reputable prescreening service...

I recommend verification services for Newbies (p411 worked out great for me). I have heard some of them are better than others for certain areas, so I would suggest asking with a post on your regional board.
