I'm a really green newbie, but in the real world bad customer service makes me take a walk real fast. I assume the same holds true in this slightly odd world too.
Here's how it's going so far; I found the provider I wanted to see and sent an e-mail to her agency. A couple rounds later they had me booked and gave me a phone number. I call the number yesterday and talk to a girl who couldn't find the booking, but she set me up with the same details and said I would get a call the next day. Technically it is still the next day, but it's been over 24 hours. I just want to know how long I should wait before looking for another opportunity elsewhere - given that my schedule is tight and it's closing in on the 24 hour mark for my original date. What to do...

As you guys will find out, this hobbby is not quite the real world. I generally give a lady 48-72 hours to respond. Usually, the lady will respond to my e-mail with an e-mail and we will go from there. Keep in mind, the ladies do have another life. Patience.
wait, wait, wait. This was after follow-up, dude. Our time is valuable, too. Just as we can't expect a provider to constantly sit by the phone, dolled up and expectant, neither should hobbyists be put off for too long. We *all* have other lives...
Based on similar postings I've seen on other boards, you needn't settle for that. There are way too many fish in the sea....independent providers as well as agencies.....who'd be more responsive and willing to accommodate you in a more expeditious fashion.
I'd personally go ahead and start looking into other options, but I suppose that also depends on where you're located and how abundant the options in question are. From my standpoint, I live in DC......where some of TER's best reviewed ladies live, highly reputable providers visit, top-notch agencies operate from, AND reliable agencies send their girls to. From the second my situation starts to get tight or tricky....which appears to be the case for you....I can afford to move to plan B. Then to plan C if B isn't working for me either.
Hopefully you have the same kind of room for maneuver where you are.
