Sorry if I come across as an airhead but I get really confused with all these web forms, faqs and information pages.

I'm a provider and I'm trying to post my availability.   I believe I'm doing thing right but I'm supposed to provide a link to my profile on here but I can't seem to find my profile.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

You don’t get a profile on TER until a TER member writes you a review. Your first reviewer creates your profile. Once that happens, you can link it to your username. Once your profile is linked to your username, you will receive the free Limited Provider VIP. This allows you to read the juicy details of your own reviews, and allows you to use the TER PM system. You can make corrections to your profile after it is created and you link it to your username. You can’t change the reviewer’s narrative on the session but you can change items in your profile such as your physical attributes, fees, and services provided.

You don’t need a profile to post on TER discussion boards. You can join in discussions on regional and general boards. You can post photos on the photo only board, and you can post ads on your regional ad board. On the ad board you must link to another ad on a provider ad mall, or to a personal website if you have one. Once you get a profile on TER you can also link your ads to that profile. However you don’t need to link to the TER profile, you just have to link to some other internet presence.

Sounds like you might have already read the Provider Ad Posting Guidelines. If you haven’t, I suggest you read the entire TER’s Instruction Manual”  (found as the top thread on this page), then come back here to ask more questions. People on this newbie board are always willing to help.

Welcome and good luck.

I've been reading the instruction manual and I still get a little confused.

Ok let me see if I have this right,

I can post in regional and general boards but not the available now board?
I can link in the regional and general boards to my website as a way to advertise that I'm available?  (Can I link my site to this discussion?)

What I don't understand is how do I get reviews if I can't advertise that I'm available?

While you wait for a reviewer to create a profile for you, check out the regional boards for the areas you work in. There are often posts from hobbyists along the lines of “Looking for a GFE provider...”

Answer those and it will increase your visibility.  Do you have any ads up on the internet? If so, post a link to the ad in your replies.

Thank you and I'll give it a try.  It's really difficult getting started as an independent and I have the feeling that I'm really going to need this site.  so, I don't want to do anything wrong and get banned.

I want to focus on this part:

Were you previously with an agency? Did you have reviews in that incarnation? Agencies usually control the Reviews of their own girls but a good agency owner will give you control / ownership of your reviews if you do decide to go indy. (If you were AgencyAnnie before, the agency tells TER to give you, AnnieGFE, ownership of AgencyAnnie's Profile and Reviews.)
.
Which leads to the next question: If you are completely new to this biz, have you considered trying to start with an agency in your area? I think you said you're in Orlando and I don't know Orlando. Maybe some local yokels can provide advice about Orlando agencies: which ones have good reps and which ones to steer clear of.  That could (depending on the agency - owner - booker - coworkers) give you access to a support system as you learn the ropes.
.
Some agencies have requirements about availability (so many days per week and hours per day) and exclusivity. Some agencies allow a combination of agency-indy work. Specifically, there was a Boston agency that repped some girls when they were in Boston but they had their own indy businesses when they were on tour away from Boston. And other variations.
.
Just tossing out some ideas and trying to be helpful.

1. I've never been an escort before.  Prior to the lockdowns and coming to Orlando I was a dancer and I had even started managing other dancers.   Also, I tried some webcam work but that was majorly hit and miss.  (Mostly miss)

2. I've called several agencies and I've only had 1 return my call and ask to see my photos.

I don't see any of your posts on the Florida DISCUSSION board yet. Read a bunch of posts for a few days to get a feel for the posters. On every board, there is a range of reliable-to-worthless replies. Learn the personalities of the Orlando regulars and who is helpful and who is not before jumping in to a conversation.
.
You can ask there about:
Any Orlando area agencies that are hiring?
What websites do Orlando-ans prefer?
-- Clients and Providers don't always agree because they have different criteria (price of an ad versus ease of use, and so on).
.
When you START a new thread (OP = Original Post), you can't include the link to your website - that is considered an ad, or a ThreAD - an AD disguised as a  thread. When you REPLY to someone else's OP or reply, you CAN include your link.

Put a TER banner on it (explanation at the bottom of the Provider Ad Posting Guidelines), then you can post ads on TER regional ad boards, and link your site to the ad.  I noticed that you have been linking your site to your more recent posts, and that is allowed and a good way to get known. However as imposter mentioned in another post, you are not allowed to put your link in a post that is starting a thread (also known as an OP, or threadstarter). This will make your post appear to be an ad, and TER will remove it. If you notice your post on the GD board about giving ID to p411, you had your link and a photo on the post. They have since been removed. However TER let the thread stand, because it is a good topic and a good thread, and because you are a newbie and didn’t know the rules. Normally they would pul the entire post if it appears to be an ad.

You can put your link into any post that is a reply to another post, but not in an OP. The exception of course is an actual ad which is only allowed on the ad boards. There you are not only allowed to post your link, but you are required to post a link, either to a personal website, or an ad on an ad mall, or your TER profile (which you don’t yet have).

As to photos, just like your website link, they are also not allowed in posts on regular boards such as the General board or regional boards. Photos are allowed on the photo only board, and the ad boards. Occasionally TER runs theme days on regional boards and you can post photos there.

Keep coming back here and asking questions as you need. I notice your other thread from the GD board got moved here. The newbie board is the place for newbie questions. The thread about the p411 ID requirement is good on the General board, because that one is not necessarily a newbie question. It’s a good topic even for seasoned providers.

While posting on the General board and newbie board can get you known, you really need to post on your regional board, and get ads up in the regional ad board. Also posting some photos on the photo only board is not a bad idea.

Good luck. Hope you get your questions answered and get your first review soon so you can have your TER profile.
