How do I go about getting verified if I'm a stay at home dad?

suggestion welcome.

I do not have an answer for that.  Unless you have some kind of work history, you are pretty much screwed.  Your only hope is to luck upon a gal that does little if any screening that will reference you somewhere.  In the meantime, good luck.

I'm vet and can actually be googled with good accuracy. It's been a few years since I've worked a real job....

...screeching in the background.  Or she can check with your wife to verify you're a stay at home dad.  Other than that, I got nuttin'.

On second thought, even though I was being facetious, maybe they can call your wife at work and ask her about her stay at home husband if they can think of something clever - perhaps for health insurance purposes.

On THIRD thought, that's a really bad idea.  You don't want a provider knowing any details about your wife.  I'm an idiot!!

...I'm assuming you a) have a funding source unknown to your spouse b) are doing this with her blessing or for both of you 3) haven't fully thought this through :)

Best of luck to you though.  I hope it works out

Or I guess c) no spouse in the picture is also possible...

It all depends on where you are located but everywhere you will find someone with more lax policies on screening. You may want to try making a thread in your region, and seeing who gravitates to you.

Any escort will be able to pull accurate information on you if you are willing to give;
Full Name
Current City of Residence
Last assigned unit during Military service

Some may be uncomfortable verifying you this way but, most who visit military towns or those who offer service members (active & veteran) a discount, will screen you with ease.

...they are a verification service. They have an 800 number so you can talk to someone and figure out a way to be verified. Seems like your military service would be an asset in this case. There are many discussions here about them working out verification for guys with unusual circumstances.
