I've found a couple of well-reviewed agencies in my area and they screen on their own with contact info rather than previous references. Since I don't have any previous provider references I was thinking maybe I should give one or both of them a try first and then perhaps they can be a reference for future providers.

Does that sound like a plan or should I try date-check or P411 instead?

What are the odds an independent would give a reference-less client a fair shake anyway? From lurking here and looking at provider websites it sounds like a long shot but hey I'd be happy to be corrected.

I started with indies & did just fine...  it takes more effort to screen a newbie is all.

Many independent ladies have ways to screen you besides references if you are upfront with them.

Many (if not most) independent ladies will not accept agency references, and many agencies will not give them.

Depending on your area and situation, you might do well to consider date-check or P411 and go straight to the independents.

Newbie had done his homework, contacts us with Datecheck/P411/Roomservice id and willing to provide with information we need to feel comfortable!

Like you, I read these boards for quite a while before I saw my first provider.  I ended up deciding to try an independent because I was leary of agencies.

I guess I got very lucky, because the second lady I contacted said she could work with me on verification without references.  Sure enough, we got together and it was fun.

Since then, I have joined Preferred 411 simply to make it easier for myself and also so that I don't have to repeatedly ask prior ladies for references.

P411 is well run and doesn't cost much considering the cost of a single appointment.

with giving out your personal information.  Many ladies have ways to screen you other than by referals from other ladies.  It helps to be honest when making an appointment.

As Keystone says, you have to be comfortable with giving out your personal info but it's not as detailed and painful as you may be fearing it to be. Apparently, he felt that he had met someone he could trust that information and went from there.

If you aren't feeling that, the verification sites are a good way to go.  At least you know you'll have that whole verification thing taken care of and in place.  It is well worth whatever the initial fee may be.  It will pay for itself in relief from aggrevation, alone.

After you join and see a lady, she can give you an okay on the site (if you are deserving) making it even easier for you to see someone else in the future. I'm not sure if many of the ladies do it after just one visit or not.

Some providers are more resourceful than others and have savvy verification means of their own, whatever they may be, and some are more inclined to use the sites like P411 and date-check.

I am starting to refer guys that I  had to verify through other means to the verification sites.  This will definitely make it easier for someone else in the future.  I'm sure that is how a lot or many guys have become members.
