I'm moving to the chicago area in 2 weeks, and I've never escorted before. I'm thinking of joining an agency in Chicago until I have the experience to become and independent. I was wondering if anyone could help me answer any of these questions:

1) What are the best agencies in Chicago (in terms of rate distributions, screening, protecting safety of workers, etc)? A concern of mine is joining an agency and not having clients in this economy. Is that an issue? How many could I expect to have on a given day?

2) What sort of "training" do agencies give providers?

3) Assume I'm pretty, educated, and possess a talent for charming men, if I worked "full-time" for the agency how much could I expect to earn weekly? (given the economy, the city, etc)


Any advice from providers who have worked for agencies is much appreciated. I've been reading these boards for months now and am really impressed by how open-minded and friendly everyone is-- definitely gets rid of certain preconceived notions I had about this business!

After all, since you have no track record here, why should we believe that you are NOT LE seeking information?  Even if someone wants to trust the honesty of your post, why would we want to post the information in a public way where LE has access to it?

Law enforcement in many places, including Chicago, has too much time on its hands.

A personal experience in support of that conclusion:  Several years ago I was waiting in the downtown Chicago Greyhound station on a Saturday evening and had a bus ticket for the west coast.  For reasons I will not bother stating here, I was pissed at Greyhound and refused to show my ticket to their private security guards.  Several minutes eight Chicago cops showed up, four in uniform and four in plain clothes.  

After yanking their chains for about 10 minutes, including writing down the names and badge numbers of those in uniform, I exhibited my bus ticket.  

Sooo......be careful in Chicago....you don't want to come in contact with Chicago's "finest".

You can get answers to your questions simply by reading the bevy of posts on the Chicago board.  But you can also check out the other regional boards for answers to your questions.

You might even take a shot and call one of the agencies. I'm sure they have the answers regarding the industry.

Welcome to the board. The Newbie board is usually a little gentler than the first couple responses imply.

I don't know the Chicago agencies, but recommend you look for the 2-3 that seem to be the most popular in terms of reviews for their ladies and comments by the guys. If it's an agency with a great reputation, guys will be much more willing to see the new girl.

You may also want to join an agency that sends girls on tour often. This type of agency doesn't need to be based in Chicago.  You may want to consider spending most of your time in Chicago but tour to other cities a little bit -- it expands your client base.

As I'm sure you're aware, there are some drawbacks with agencies. I'm glad you asked about screening: some screen very well; others are lax. You'll also have less control over who you see, when you see them and how many clients you see.

I don't know if they give training, but they will give instructions in terms of what's expected, including the types of services. They're counting on you to maintain their reputation.

My final piece of advice is to look at the pictures of girls working at an agency and read their reviews.  Be brutally honest in assessing whether you can compete with them in terms of looks and performance.  You want to be in the upper range.

Thanks! This is very helpful. I only see 3 or 4 chicago agencies listed on this site and some have very poor unprofessional websites. I sort of doubt working for an agency that lists very grainy pictures of girls get good business from high-caliber gentlemen. When I meet with agencies in a couple of weeks I'll ask these questions and try to get a feel for what type of agency they are.

I'm not law enforcement, just an ex-chemist that lost my job in St Paul during a 1500 layoff term this spring. I can see why my email would be suspicious; I sent it anyways because after searching "agency" in this newbie board I didn't find all my questions answered.  I'm sorry to hear about your greyhound station experience, that does not sound like fun at all.

You can expand your search on any board, by changing the days from 30 to 360 or more. That will give you plenty to read and research.

Have you tried asking this question on the Chicago board?   You'd probably get the most useful info. about best agencies from providers/clients there...

If you google chicago+sex workers, you'll find some websites by and for escorts in your area...

Look for 'escort' on Amazon...there are books by escorts, a couple are practical handbooks for people just starting out...

My only agency experiences were very brief, with fly-by-night "agencies"...so I just asked an independent friend how to get started.  But a reputable agency is probably a good way to get comfortable with escorting...
I've found it's *extremely* helpful to meet other smart, sane people working in the business.

From suggestions above, I looked up TER reviews of women in agencies and have narrowed it down to 2 agencies to consider. However, I will definitely try posting in the Chicago boards! I just need to start working for an agency until I get enough reviews/experience/money to become an independent escort!
