I just read a review in which the writer said he kept up his VIP status by writing regular reviews. But after he gave a subpar review he was threatened. After all they have access to a lot of real information about us. Now he pays for his membership and writes only good reviews when asked.
So can we assume that the number of good reviews partly outnumber bad ones because of this? Or does it all wash out?
No provider has ever threaten me or pressured me for a good review.
On the other hand i have had request to keep certain activities during our session private. I have no problem with a provider requesting me to keep something private, when writing my review.
Great thread i would love to hear from others regarding their experiences with this issue.

but it's the best we've got. You'll always find suggestions for changes, some good, some bad, but the reality is TER is unlikely to change things. So I'll just talk about my experience.
1) Despite the flaws I've found the reviews very helpful and have not had a bad experience as a result of being misled by a review.
2) But you've got to read the reviews with care and not just accept everything in them. Know how to adjust for scores that are too high or too low. In fact, don't take the numerical scores too seriously at all and rely on the "juicy details." Toss out comments that aren't consistent with the majority because YMMV.
3) Respect a gal's request not to report on certain things she did. It puts her in a bad position with other clients if, because she likes or knows you, she did something she prefers not to do with everyone.
4) On the other hand, be just a bit skeptical of 10s, especially if there's no mention of Greek. She may have done BBFS to get the score. No way to know, however.
5) Develop a list of reviewers whose reviews are consistently reliable and go with those.
I'm sure there are lots more good suggestions that will be made and my list is not definitive. Also, some will disagree about not including things at the gal's request. I don't pretend to be certain about everything.

a certain act, Greek for example, in order to get the +1 score. As long as the provider offers "the act", it still CAN count. Another example, many providers offer BBBJ but if the hobbyist (not me) only wants a CBJ, that doesn't count against her score.
If I see a GFE lady with a full menu, and my time spent with her is "above the clouds", first class, etc., I will give her a 9 or 10 depending on how I think the session went. In nearly 80 reivews, I have only given two 10-10's.
when there was no TER. It's a catch 22, an escort with excellent reviews usually gets more excellent reviews, with some variations. An escort who starts out bad, usually doesn't last long on TER.
When I look at reviews, the numbers mean nothing to me. I'm concerned with the menu the lady offers. Certain menu items are deal breakers if not offered. I concentrate on the juicy details and like mentioned before, there are certain hobbyist when I read their reviews, I can pretty much take it to the bank it's an honest review.
Retaliation by a provider happens, it's why some hobbyists prefer not to give up their ter handle before a date with an escort. If you belong to a screening web site, and the escort screents thru the site, than you can hobby without using your ter handle.
1) If you have nothing nice to say, sometimes it is better to not say anything at all. I've been with a couple of real dud dates. However, because it could have just been a personal interaction thing, I refrained from posting a review. Am I bad person for not warning the community? Perhaps. They were not really THAT bad, I just did not get what I was expecting to get, so in my - personal - opinion, they were bad experiences. Do others do the same thing as I did? Perhaps. Who knows?
2) If the escort is a rip off/scam artist/up-seller, etc people often write a review. So your odds of finding someone who is a total scam, if you read the reviews, is pretty insignificant.
Essentially, I see the reviews as authentication. Either the girl is legit, a scammer, or a cop. If the girl has reviews and her composite scores are 5 or better, she's probably legit. If the scores are less than 5, she's probably a scammer. As for what score level you are interested in, well, that's personal preference and wallet size, now isn't it?
i like your scammer, cop, legit categorization. i only read reviews to discover the menu, check photo accuracy and assure myself that she is not LE. i only see well reviewed ladies, and as a result i get exactly what i was expecting. my reviews pretty much reflect what the dozen other reviewers said. i have often wondered about the value of my reviews at all. i am not into writing a porno story with every graphic detail. i have had a session where i was not attracted to the lady after meeting her. her pictures were accurate, her services were available, she just put me off for some unexplainable reason. i did not think it warranted a bad review, so i did not submit one.
"i have had a session where i was not attracted to the lady after meeting her. her pictures were accurate, her services were available, she just put me off for some unexplainable reason"
How often does that happen?
As a novice that's what makes me hesitant about a date the most.I wouldn't say I don't care if she doesn't " reach the big O" it's just not a high priority. After all, I'm paying.Right? What IS important is SOME kind of connection.
"i am not into writing a porno story with every graphic detail."
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Even though some reviewers are very good writers,I don't see the utility.
How often does that happen?
Only once in the 15 or so providers i have seen. I only see well reviewed ladies, so its not surprising that I never get ripped off and I am rarely disappointed. I appreciate the guys that are willing to TOFTT and review the new ladies, but sadly I cannot afford the risk of seeing them.
Thank you for your initial responses. As someone said, it's the best system we've got--and I haven't been let down once by it. I think there might be too much 9 & 10s given out on looks--though there are a lot of them out there.
