If you would rather that your original post stays active, you can reply to your own post with "correction", or something similar in the subject line.

Click on the original post, if you're logged in there will be a button at the bottom that says EDIT, it'll bring you back into your post and you can change whatever you want.  I have noticed though sometimes it's there sometimes it isn't... I dunno if there's a time limit after it's posted to be edited.

Also, after you do an edit, the post is held until a moderator releases it.

I thought about doing that on some of my goof posts that needed a line or two excised but I didn't want to clutter the boards.  See, I'm thinking about the scroll, DC, all the time...

within the same thread, and don't do it on a regular basis, (correct me if I'm wrong DC) I don't think it really effects anything. If you were to put up a new post, instead of replying to your own, then it would push the bottom post off of the first page, and that might tend to piss somebody off.
