Greeting Team Newbie

I have had my first experience -- successful! -- and the kind provider has even whitelisted me on TER.  Thanks!

She is not active on Date-Check, which is my verification service right now

However, I have an interest in meeting someone who has a listing on DateCheck, but doesn't appear to respond to Date-Check inquiries (or TER, for that matter).  I don't have P411, but her public profile on that service does indicate her last login....so I know she's active, touring in my neighborhood, etc.

On her website she does offer alternative screening processes.  But after three days I haven't heard back from her (in response to a polite request with personal details and some qualifying info).

So, two questions: as a relative newbie with only one verified reference, is that to be expected, that some providers will take a pass on responding?

And, two, is there are pro-P411 bias, such that I would benefit from P411 over DC?  I would consider switching if there were an advantage.  I like Date-Check's calendar feature; does P411 offer something similar?

That's a good point...I'm in Maryland.  But the real question is whether providers have a preference for P411 over Date Check.  thoughts?

 

While there is some regional preferences, in general I think p411 is better than date-check (and I belong to both).

Whenever you do a board search it is a good idea to change the date range to a higher number. 30 is the default, and while there are topics that come up daily, weekly ir monthly, that will show up, you usually get better results if you go back about a year or so.

I agree with PS, I definitely prefer P411 and also belong to both. The main problem I have with DC is that they don't update the providers, at least half the providers on DC in my state are no longer active, and requesting dates through P411 are so much easier. Just my 2 cents

I'm not on date check so I cant really speak for it and I think you should definately look at the other threads in regards to that debate, but I'm on p411 and I quite like it and I trust it more I guess, I mean I still have my owns means of screening just to double check and for my own peace of mind. But I do quite like the p411 and it does make me feel more secure in agreeing to see newbie's so I think its definately a site worth looking into.

Bottom line, a site that makes it harder for you to get on there, makes me feel more secure about the type of people I would be communicating with. The ONLY thing I like about Date Check is that the  vouch is not just one choice...it is 4. I like the fact that if a guy NCNSs me, I can let others know about it without having to email them. Many times a guy does outlandish shit to one provider and treats others like gold. IMO, once an asshole, always an asshole, and other ladies need to know they have the potential to be screwed over.  

As far as security and professionalism go, P411 has it. Gina is the only woman I know who actually does not sweep things under the rug when they go down. When P411 was hacked or whatever happened, she made everyone aware on the boards. When a situation happened in Arkansas, she deleted the entire Little Rock section, until things were smoothed over. She is simply a better business person, and has been through it all.

I'm not sure about the calendar feature, but I will tell you that if you send a girl a request for an appointment via the P411 system, the girl MUST respond within a few days or her account gets suspended.  She can say no if she wants to, but she must respond one way or another.

And yes, some girls will not see you with only 1 reference.  Other girls will.  We all have different approaches to who we choose to see, but P411 does let us designate if we are 'newbie friendly.'

The girls account could only be suspended if the hobbyist reports her for not responding.  

And reporting a girl for not responding to a request is a dick move in my opinion.  

I've had several girls never respond to requests, and I'm always polite and straightforward in my requests.  What I've found most often is that the girl never gets the request, it goes to their spam folder.  So if I then email her directly she gets my email and will respond.

I've had many P411 appt. requests come to my email and rather than typing the guy's addy in, I just click on the email and reply...they never get my responses, and end up thinking I blew them off lol.

That actually hasn't been my experience. I sent a request to a lady who never responded. She viewed my profile because it showed up in my tracking. There is a blurb on there about reporting it to Gina if it happens but I did not. I figure she has every right to choose not to see me for whatever reason and I just accepted her silence as a no and moved on.

When I jumped in to the Hobby I, like all newbies, knew very little.  I made the mistake of looking at the price of joining DC vs P411 and chose to join DC for 3 months.  Since then, I have read a lot of great things about P411 that make me regret my decision.  Recently I met a provider that relayed a story about her interaction with Gina when she had a personal crisis.  Gina's kind response was above and beyond the call of business and is an indication of the type of person she is.  Even if P411 was not better than DC, I would rather do business with a person like Gina with integrity and caring.

They are both solid services and I accept both but date-check has always been my preferrence.  Providers are able to post their visiting schedule free of charge on date-check so they are used far more by us when we travel.  P411 charges us for every visiting ad and post we place.  One big advantage for you is that date-check offers gent's a "life time" membership that's less than 2 yrs of what P411 charges annually (last time I checked).
