that I can only get my first review from someone who already has review history? This puts a bit of a damper on things. :-/

TER is very leary of letting a review go up of a new provider, especially if the reviewer has no history.  It's just a case of that being too easy for phony reviews to get posted.

Now if the reviewer is someone who has become well known for posting on the boards, and seems legit, then the review may go up right away, or they may wait for him to review a second gal.

The rules are not clear cut and TER reserves a lot of discretion in this matter, as well they should.

My suggestion is to keep encouraging your clients to write reviews of you whether they have any history or not; eventually some will go up and you'll be in the groove.

Best wishes to you as a newcomer.

a regular who has never heard of ter to post a review if he is new?

Red face for attention; I'm not angry, although I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express in almost a week.

The answer to review questions can be answered only by the TER people that handle them.  I never see them, nor do any of the other posters here, until & unless they are approved.  We can all take turns speculating and misinforming each other to our heart's content, but in the end we're no better off.  The OP didn't like my first denial reason, but the real answer STILL is to contact ADMIN and ask, because they have the real answer.

Or, we can just keep blowing smoke up each other's skirts if it makes you happier.

I see your point but there's a little more than just speculation.  My first review was of a provider with no reviews.  It was disallowed and i was told it was basically because i was new and she was too.  Same has happened to a couple opther guys I talked into joining TER.  However I also m=know some 1st time guys who post reviews of 1st time providers and they show up.

It does seem to be one factor that is taken into account, but not all by itself.

You're not sure exactly how it works.  Thanks for making my point.  They have a method, and it's as clear to me as how credit scores work, or how slot machine payoffs can be predicted.

But I actually got the answer I was looking for (I would have liked to hear from more providers but these posts were helpful as well). My client told me the reason ADMIN had given him for denying his review, I just wanted to validate this by comparing it to others experience. And I actually thought that maybe I had broken some rule with the first, more lengthy post, so I just shortened it and tried again, and alas, it was approved (thank you). I appreciate your dedication :-)

I have completed 7 reviews over the past few months and none are approved or posted.  the only reason i ever see is the same one you all reference.  how do you break through and get to vip???
