If you haven't already seen it just a few posts down the best answer to your infatuation. Wanting it badly won't make it real.

OK, I'm new to this, and have tried to do a reasonable amount of homework on this site and elsewhere.  I'm setting up my P411 Account tomorrow.  I understand the need for screening on the part of providers, but we both have a lot to lose.

So my question is "How would you screen a provider who has no reviews, no website of her own, is not registered with any verification system, etc.?"  I admit, I've become fixated on a certain provider.  I was thinking, for example, that the fact that she quotes a half-hour rate (that was very close to her one hour rate) was a strike against her.  I'm more into longer term relationships (like at least an hour).   On the other hand, the price is on the high side of moderate, which I view as a good thing, in the sense that it seems neither too good to be true, nor insanely out of the ballpark.

Or am I thinking along the wrong lines?  I'm in a position where I have to be MUCH more concerned about safety and discretion than I am about having an ambiguous experience.

There are too many unanswered questions about her.  There are plenty out there that you can verify easily.

If you are very concerned about security, keep looking.  It ain't worth taking that kind of chance.

Thanks very much for the responses, people.  I have read and used (I think?) all of the resources described above except for tineye (which I am about to try).

Having said that, the combination of the "I've never done this before" allure of this provider, and my tendency to overshoot the mark when it comes to emphasizing my own intuition and intelligence over the vastly more important virtue of experience, causes me to concur that I should give this a pass.

Not the hobby, but this particular practitioner.

My infatuations have seldom led toward anything good, which is why I'm here in the first place.  I relish the prospect of making my pleasure someone else's business, while still remaining a good humored "gentleman" about the whole thing.

Like a kid who is a virgin in a whorehouse, I think I'll bust my cherry with an experienced courtesan.  There seem to be a lot of incredible ones out there.  Hopefully, I'll have some reviews of my own to post shortly.

Tineye is a good tool to check the authenticity of a provider.  However, a better tool is Google Images.  I have found photos on Google Images that Tineye did not find.

Good luck!

Since no one has jumped in and answered this yet, you will eventually see a bunch of posts from seasoned hobbyists who will tell you to do your homework. Read the newbie/self help manual. Read the posts. AND stick with only well reviewed providers. Let the more seasoned hobbyists take the chance on the unreviewed providers. You will see this discussion time and time again.

From my personal point of view, if a provider has no website, no reviews, and no verification system, that in itself speaks volumes. Have you checked tineye for the photo matching? Have you checked to see how many sites she is listed on?

As a newbie the LAST thing you should be doing is what you are contemplating.

Read the newbie manual here...read a number of pages here...and you will then understand why you DON'T want to do what you are asking.

But if you do against the better judgment of veterans here...I suspect we'll hear from you shortly about the B&S (bait and switch...it wasn't the gal) or the upselling, or perhaps even she stole your money and ran.

Do you have any other questions that need answering on this topic?

On the other hand, if you are really infatuated there are two things you can try:

First, use a software called tineye to check out her photos and see if they are real.  If not, then don't go any further.

Second, post a link of her ad on your local board and ask if anyone there is familiar with her.  Someone might know her and can give a thumbs up or down.

Have you at least read the Self Help Manual linked on this page so that you have some basic idea of how this works, and how to spot warning signs?

I also found the "self help" manual, which I am ashamed to say I missed before.  Very helpful indeed!  I have more questions, but will post them in separate threads.  I also noticed that several of the providers who were advertising on the site of the particular one I was interested in are listed here as "rip offs."
