What is 'Upsell"?

I've seen this word around and thought it meant that someone might turn up who's not as good as she said she is, for example. But then I saw something that suggests it means turning up on a date then asking for more money than expected.

What's true?

Thanks.

It's when you meet a provider for an agreed upon price and once the session has begun she tries to tack on services for an additional charge. For example she might say, "you can cIm for an additional $50." The vast majority of hobbyists don't like upselling since no one wants to be negotiating price when they have a hard on.

Exactly right, and this happened to me once when I was visiting the DC area (I'm from the Midwest).    A hot eurasian girl told me the $250 was just to show up (and she usually didn't come to hotel rooms),  I could take her out to dinner for an additional $300.

I honestly wanted to strangle the girl and throw her out the hotel window  (sorry to all the providers reading this post).  What I did instead:  I let this girl walk out of my hotel room with my $250 in her purse.

Note to self: Welcome to the big city, country bumpkin.     --z
