If they call my last employer to verify that job history will it suffice?

Thank you. I didn't realize providers had to speak with clients at work. I guess people without phone extensions  at their jobs are sol. In my current position the best I can do is have calls forwarded to my cell phone. Will that be sufficient?

Not all providers screen the same. If your cell phone does not in some way connect back to your place of business, how can you prove you work there? That is the point.
