Being stood up is not nice, either from a client's perspective or a provider's perspective.  Not knowing the situation, I can offer the following:

1.  Did you have a firm appointment?  I ask this because I had a gentleman who asked to be prescreened a month prior who wrote to me and said he was finally ready to book and wanted to schedule an appointment for the next day at 10:00 a.m. (when my calendar definitely showed I would be out-of-town).  He wrote this e-mail at 10:00 p.m. and then was upset that I hadn't sent him e-mail directions to the appointment.  His letter was "less than nice."  Simply filling out an appointment request does not mean that you have an appointment.

2.  Does the provider require a final confirmation or call the day of or just prior to the appointment.  Some providers will not give out their incall information until the day of the appointment.  If you did not follow her directions, she will have considered the appointment not confirmed.

3.  If it was an outcall appointment, did she have all of the information for the appointment.  Many providers will not leave for an outcall appointment until they have your room # at the hotel.  They may be travelling an hour to get to you and it only takes 1 instance of "showing up" and not being able to reach their client who has either blown off the appointment or got tied up with business and is running late (but has not let them know), for a provider to require all info up front.

4.  Did they ask for prescreening info from you by telephone?  Chances are, if they didn't, they probably had no intentions of meeting with you.  Something you said may have scared them or they thought your call a prank.  Or, their website indicates that initial contact should be in the form of their appointment request form which contains prescreening, and they were waiting for you to send it.

It just seems very unusual that this happened three times in a row.  It could certainly be just a streak of bad luck.  Or it could be that you did not pay attention to the appointment request instructions on the provider's website.  Only you know the answer!

Good luck on scheduling your "next" appointment and have fun in your erotic adventures!

I'm a noob at this but so far it's not going well. In the last 8 days I have been stood up three times by 2 different ladies. Both were ladies with lots of positive reviews on TER. All three appointments were made by phone. I have read newbie etiquette, I don't say anything out of line I just introduce myself, tell them I saw their review here or saw their website then ask for an appointment.  Is this normal?

Stood up as in the appointment was confirmed and they didn't show up or call? Or stood up as they haven't confirmed a date with you?

If it is the former then contact the provider to see what went wrong, sometimes things happen that can cause a provider to NCNS. Most things that come up at least they can call and cancel. If it was a NCNS after a confirmed appointment and you are getting no response from your inquiries then I would bring it up on your regional board.

If it is the latter then there must have been something about you that made the provider uneasy. Jadetan started a post about that sort of thing on the General Board. For example if your email is [email protected] you probably won't get any replies from any provider.

You said all 3 appointments were made by phone. Did you talk to the providers or just leave a message? If you left a message, then they might not know when a good time to call back would be.

Better luck to you in your future endeavors in this hobby.

The appointment was confirmed. I was to call 15 minutes ahead to get final directions and it was at that call where there was no answer. Left messages, waited an hour then gave up.

Since my original post the lady that stood me up twice has called me and wants to "make it up to me". I considered not doing it but, well, she's really hot and I want to meet her. She sounds great on the phone and we seem to connect so I'm going to give her a third try.

Forget about this provider, and find someone who actually knows how to treat clients.  It seems like she just enjoys playing games.  And the purpose of the hobby is getting away from game-players in the civvie world.

About three years ago I got stood up (Appointment made but the provider NC/NS me.) three times over the course of about two months.

Nevertheless, I percervered and have not had a problem since.

Keep on trying and you'll connect eventually.

OK, I just went through something like this, and maybe #4 applies to my situation:

4.  Did they ask for prescreening info from you by telephone?  Chances are, if they didn't, they probably had no intentions of meeting with you.

If that was the case just tell the guy NO. Being the "Pavlov's dogs" that we are we'll get all worked up and go rent rooms and travel in inticipation and then ... nothing
