Simple, not every one needs to know every thing. If you MUST tell them, there's nothing wrong with saying you're going somewhere for fun, an interview, work, whatever. I travel all month, and those who aren't aware of the real reason why don't know about 90% of it, let alone where I'm going or for how long or why.

I love visiting Boston,  and am trying to make it out there at least once a month,  but where do you find time to travel to another city for a long weekend and not raise suspicion or eyebrows in your personal life?

Obviously, ladies who travel a lot either don't have a personal life that precludes them from traveling, or it is worked into their back story (they travel for work).

My parents, friends, etc. have no clue what I do, so you should already have a cover job that would take care of any questions. Since I have worked for many firms that required travel in the past, it is nothing for me to pretend, I still work for them on a per contract basis. Pharmaceutical Sales is about the best cover ever, and it's actually a great income!

just say you're on a consulting job. Change your linkedin and facebook to reflect that.

Dear Ms. Rayne:
Perhaps your new cover is that you work for a pharmaceutical firm in conjunction with the FDA, as a consultant for new drugs that need a clinical trial. Considering the issues you come across within the hobby, you could say that you are analyzing the phenomena and side effect that come with the new drugs.
