by the rest of the civilized world, at least here in America, I feel a small sense of connection to the people who use this site.  Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not naive.  Like, anyplace there are great people and there are jerks here.  But, the few times, I've gone to other anonymous message boards here in cyberworld and have revealed that I've occasionally seen providers, I've been called a loser, scumbag, pervert and other names.  Please that I have never bragged about this as it is something to be proud of.  It is just something I've revealed in the course of an online conversation about sexual matters, and for legal purposes, I've never revealed the details of my time with providers.  After all, we are just paying providers for their time, right?  

As another poster here said in response to an earlier post I made, the civie world just does not understand us hobbyists and providers.  They assume that we are the worst of society.  It can be discouraging and frustrating to see and hear people make judgements about something which they know nothing about, but it is what it is.  

I'm glad this place is here.  I may not have much in common with a lot of people here, but I do have the hobby in common with you guys and gals, and that's not insignificant.

Yes we are all different. We come from different geographical regions, different financial backgrounds and status, different types of occupations, and different hobbies and interests (other than this one) but we do all have this "hobby" in common, and this can be a pretty cool placed to hang out. As for posting here, I'm sure your post is welcome here but it would be okay on the gd board too. That board is a lot nicer than it used to be. And that started happening before the TER changes. the mods there were making an effort to clean it up. Anyway You should probably feel free to post general stuff there, but when you have newbie questions this is definitely the place
Depending where you are, you might check out your regional board too. Some of those are pretty active and some are pretty dead though.

I would never reveal on other message boards that you pay to see escorts or indulge in the hobby. Besides getting stigmatized, many of these sites have servers in the U.S. and can track your IP address to you. This would require a court order against you Internet Service Provider but why take the chance?

My personal philosophy is that the hobby is best kept a secret between me, myself and I thus I do not share it with anyone.

You can bet that many of the people that throw judgement are the worst offenders of all!  Like my Mommy taught me, walk in someones shoes before you judge what they do and why they do it. Self righteous people need to take that advice!

A little empathy goes a long way..

Before I got started in the business, I made the mistake of telling a guy I was starting to get to know that I just FANTASIZED about getting paid for sex and he got all bent out of shape about it!

He said,"But that's illegal!"

I said, "So is speeding, are going to tell me you never go over the speed limit?"

So, you are unlikely to feel any acceptance with anyone outside of our secret world who do not understand how hot it is!

If someone took you aside and said you can have this girl for a modest some, and then apply some of the same constructs as a dating site, only this involves women of all adult ages, you would jump at the chance. I recently started the hobby after several years of dating women my age, 50, who were no longer interested in sex, it was obvious to me. So, TER is probably the best website in America for this secret society, have fun!
