Yes, that would be a problem, and you can count on being asked to leave.

Please understand the purpose of requiring your information is to keep us from encountering an axe murderer kind of guy. If you know we know who you are, you are much less likely to harm us, rip us off, etc. Men who have bad intentions from the start will avoid seeing a woman who screens because he knows she knows how to find him after the fact.

The instant she realizes the information you provided is bogus, you will be on your way out the door, because all bets are off.

If one has made contact with a provider under an alias and then she askes for ID when we meet and my licence will of course shows my real name,  will that be a concern or is that something that happens quite a bit?

Most ladies I know will not see you if the name on your ID does not match the name you booked under.

understand that the purpose of giving your real name is so that if you turn out to be a creepy violent guy you can be found after the fact.

confessing in person with your real ID is simply inadequate.

i'd fess up beforehand and try to fix the problem upfront.

however i am sympathetic. when i give my name i give my first and last name as it appears on my business card. if i give my full legal name it Googles really easily and makes irrelevant information readily available. on one accasion i had to pass up an extremely promising appointment for that reason.

In general what would you recommend?  My problem is this:  I have a VERY unique yet short last name, and because of my professional activities you get hundreds of hits if you google it, and will get my home address and everything else about me just like that.

I guess I got lucky I have seen one well reviewed person already and she never asked.  I am meeting another and she verified with the first so I am not sure she will ask me to pull out an ID. But in general I am not sure what to do in the future.

Date-Check

and give them the correct info.

starte with newbie friendly ladies, on Date-Check theor requirements for verifications are listed. biuld up a set of verifications tobe able to see who you want.

Yup, what Tex just said.

Every woman is different when it comes to her level of comfort with screening. Some women will insist on having your full name regardless of how well referenced you are, or what verification site you join. There may simply be some women that you have to pass on because you are not comfortable with providing the information they require.

That does not mean you are doomed in this hobby however. Many women are happy to accept verification through the sites mentioned by Texcat and/or referrences from legitimate providers. The benefit of a verification site is that you are giving your information to a disinterested third party, example Date-check or P411, who will then verify you. Once you are verified, many women are willing to accept their verification as sufficient.
