Great advice. I NEVER give the location of the incall until 1-2hrs before the scheduled start time(depending on where he is coming from). That is the first call. Then they are to call again when they arrive for the room number. In the beginning had too many problems with guys getting the hotel info, and then never showing up...then you're left wondering if he's outside watching, will he follow you home when you leave, was it LE trying to find out where you are located, etc, etc. Even in the age of references and verification, you still should protect yourself at all times. Also, I require the gent to make the confirmation call...if he doesn't contact me, I assume the appointment is off and he has NCNS...also, if something really did happen(family issue for instance), you don't want to be sending him a text with the location/room number and he's possibly in a situation where that text could get him in trouble.
To the OP, as for trusting providers that "a guy is nice", can go both ways...you still have to do your homework on that provider. Is she well-known? Have good reviews that are consistent? How long has she been around? These are all things you should consider before taking a reference from someone.

Even at a hotel, you do not necessarily want gents to know where you are at until it is time for you to meet them. Hopefully you will never have a stalker, a vengeful or jealous provider causing you issues, or have an appointment set with LE (yes, they can and do give references too)... There are many scenarios where you are compromised with that specific info out there before it is actually needed. Even stating which hotel you are at specifically (vs. the area of town) can come back to haunt you.
Often the first call tells a gent the place to go, (and many times, especially with in-call) it is a location where the lady can see the gent making the second call.
A gentleman coming to a semi-public space with security cameras and other people wandering around is NOT the same as going to a fellows house for an outcall. Getting the address early can be a part of the verification itself, can help assure you that it is indeed the fellows house, and that it is a real and occupied house - not a fake address, industrial warehouse, vacant lot, or home staged for sale.
Please do not put all of your security "eggs in one basket". References can be compromised, spoofed, or otherwise fail - just like anything else.

I probably ought to know this by now.
I read it in most of the reviews and see it being given as good advice on the newbie board, but why do we do it?
I email the gent days before which hotel I'll be in. Then I text, call or email the room number a bit before our date. If I've seen the guy before, I'll give him the room number as soon as I check in and remind him of the time our date is scheduled. I don't double book or book back to back and always have hours between dates, so I'm not sure of the reason for two-call system.
The only thing I can think of is when a provider uses an apartment or her home, and she doesn't want her address being on paper. But, I always use hotels.
I've had outcalls to gentlemen's homes, and they give me the address without prompting as soon as his provider references come back and I confirm I will see him, which might be a week or more in advance. I'm not sure why this is a bad idea when obviously I am a legitimate provider and not a thief or LE. Same goes the other way around, I trust when providers tell me a gent is a nice guy.
