Only cards that have a traceable name work unless something has changed recently.

Look for a website address on the packaging of the anonymous credit card.

Go to that website address and register the card using a fake name, fake address, fake social security number and hobby phone number if asked. Write down your user name and password for future reference.

Go to the TER website and access CC Bill to pay for your membership. In the information section, use all the fake information like name, address, phone etc that you used to register the card in all fields relevant. Also use the actual card number, expiration date and security code at the back of the card and click SUBMIT.

It should work. CC Bill and most CC processors require a Address Verification Service (AVS) and Zip Code match before approving the transaction via the Internet. It is part of additional security protocol measures for Internet and Card Not Present (CNP) transactions due to heavy fraud.

If you are really paranoid, use an anonymous wireless connection like a hotel or coffee shop where it is really difficult to track down your MAC address for your PC. They can track the ISP and finding the PC with the corresponding MAC address is much tougher.

Another option is to use the "customer use" computers at Internet cafes or business center computers at hotels.

How does one use an anonymous cc to get subscribed to TER VIP?  I tried to use the standard payment/billing page but the bank rejected the Vanilla Visa. (I know it's good.)

love to know the answer to this one as well -- im stuck with a prepaid visa that didnt work.

I can get a postal money order, but that takes about a month and TER doesn't let me know when they've actually activated VIP after the MO clears.
