A website where you can enter information so providers can check you out for verification. Also known as RS2K. I have seen many providers webpages say they accept RS2K membership in the verification process.

It is a Chicago based service that many providers use in other parts of the country.  You pay a very small fee, fill out a form on their website that asks your name, address, telephone number, hobby telephone number, employer, and employer phone number.

They verify the information in a very discreet way, then discard all but your name, city, zip code, and hobby phone number.  They send you instructions to give the retained info just mentioned to any provider with a website, and that provider can contact RS2K whether a member of RS2K or not and verify you.

It saves having to provide that info to providers and have them call your employer, so very handy.  I've found that even with providers that don't normally use RS2K for verification- just being a verified member often does away with the employment check.

I highly recommend it.

Some providers in Chicago insist that you be a member. It saves time and hassel. I joined, and recommend it. They also provide photo listings.

I don't know about you, but my hobby phone changes regularly.  Since RS2K uses the phone number as the identifier, it was a HUGE pain (and would get expensive) for me to try to keep them updated with the current number.
