THANK YOU, mrfisher, for the link. I found her posts very insightful.

I am so curious to know how to go about trying to be an independent escort and what consists of that profession?? if i could get some advice I would be so grateful!! thank you!

Get a website, have pictures taken for website, decide what is a fair rate for your time and companionship (look at ads from girls in your area), place ads on various sites, join a verification site, post on your regional board to let your presence be known (you can post one ad there every 7 days), read the newbie manual on this page.  These are some of the things you need to do get established.

To be independent, you will also need to determine what information you will need for screening your potential clients.  That's why I suggested joining a verification site.  Screening is probably the single most important thing you will do to survive in the escorting business.  Treat all your clients as though they are the most important guy in the world while they are with you, make him feel like a king.

Once you have some clients, get reviews from them so other guys will know what to expect from you.
I would say to PM me if you want more info, but you don't have VIP yet.

Good luck,
Swim

thank you soooo much swim!!! This information is so helpful!! If it's not too much of a burden, I have one more question. So I have just started doing this for about 2 weeks and i already have two regulars. My main regular is kind of taking advantage, i feel like, and is starting to get confused with what we have going on. He is starting to forget that this is a business and because he's a regular I don't ask for the money up front but before I get dropped off from him I'll mention prices in the car ride and he makes comments as if he shouldnt have to pay because he feels like "we have more than a business relationship." I am kind of scared and confused at the same time. How do I handle this situation?

And that is not a good thing.  You should probably stop seeing him, at least as often as you are.  There are plenty of guys out there who will see you in his place.  He has seen you often enough that he knows what your rates are for whatever services he wants from you.

Verification sites include Date-Check and others.  Check and see which one is most prevalent in your area.  Basically, they do your screening for you, giving you more time to post ads, see clients, and chat.  It does vary from state to state.

Again, feel free to PM me if you have other questions.

And i'm soo sorry, one more thing, what exactly is a verification site?? like my redbook? Oh yeah, and also about my previous message the regular tries to make it so he has me all to himself so he wouldn't dare give me a good review even though he makes sure he sees me about 2 to 3 times a week at the least! How should I handle that?

RS2000, Date Check and P411. You need to drop this regular. I know it would be difficult for you financial, but he is taking advantage of you.

and then keep on reading and reading.

Many gals have extensive blog sites where they talk about their experiences and you can learn a lot from that.

I linked a really good one below.

Beyond that, link up with some local providers, maybe one will take you under her wing and show you the ropes.  Many of the best have started that way.

Best wishes to you.

Ciara's My Phd section is an excellent primer for ladies thinking of getting into the hobby.

for a fair price; as Swim said, check to see what other ladies in your area are charging for the same level of service.
