I don't particulary care about their looks maybe i'm thinking in terms of i'm not paying them but at long as they don't have anything contagious I could careless about a skin condition or if he's hairy or has a huge gut or weird feet or something and as long as he doesn't have anything on him that could pop and bleed or something. I've had a few clients covered with a few scars from an accident or surgery or w/e, even had an amputee so....yeah.

Do you generally care at all about the physical appearance of your clients? I'm not talking about hygiene (VERY important, I know) but more of weight issues, skin conditions, etc. For example, the few providers I've seen thus far don't seem to care about my psoriasis or at least don't let on if they do, but I'm curious about how you all feel about this.

Like you said, as long as he's fresh and clean & respects her rules, she won't mind if he looks like a Martian w/ 10 eyes & a tail ;-)
Have fun out there,

I speak for myself only, but no I don't care about how my client looks as lobg as he is a gentleman and clean. Luckily I have had several classes at school about skin conditions so I am familiar with psoriasis and other skin c0nditions, it would not bother me. Some people and providers who may not be aware of these conditions may ask questions or be uncomfortable. Each provider has a different opinion, it might be wise to mention your psoriasis in an email before the meeting and let her decide from there. It could help avoid an uncomfortable situation.

I hate to jump in as I'm obviously not a provider.  I would think that whether it be psoriasis or something else, mentioning it in advance and or explaining a little about it would put those unaware at ease.  I'm sure there are hundreds of providers (and non-providers) who would shy away from a skin disorder for fear it was contagious.

Just my two cents worth...

I agree...mentioning it beforhand is a good idea because it will not make things awkward. If the provider doesnt mind then thats good, but at least she gets the option to say no as well. I haven't had anything like that happen yet but if i did I would apreciate a little fyi. I'll most likely be ok with is as long as your cool & of course clean.

As long as the guy is a perfect gentleman doesn't matter weight, height, race, skin issues.I have seen a gentleman in a wheelchair,a midget, and someone who has psoriasis. If the gentleman is nice-looking that's always a bonus!
