Re: Question about LE

Hi, I've tried to think through all of the different ways LE could get me but I don't really have enough experience yet to know if I've covered all the bases. Actually I hope I never get that much experience.

Number one, the provider is LE. That's pretty easy to avoid by seeing well reviewed providers. Particularly providers you've seen before.

Number two, the provider has agreed to work with LE in return for leniency. I'm sure this happens, but how much of a risk is it?

Now for my main question; Assuming the provider is not LE is there a way to get busted? I mean is LE going to stake out an incall and storm in? Does this ever happen? This is really the only thing that worries me with regard to LE.

Have I missed any other scenarios?

Thanks,

Astucious

You will occasionally read news reports of them storming in, but more commonly they stop you on the drive away and try and get you to turn on the provider.

You'll find plenty of threads here about STFU when stopped.  Best advice you'll get.  You will also hear people caution against apartments and motels that have individual outside entrances.  This is because it is easier to observe the level of traffic into a room/apt/condo in those cases.

If you want to find out about generalities about busts using google news and searching on prostitution will provide stories.

There have been occasions where neighbors make complaints and or hotel/motel customers and staff make complaints about suspicious activities.
When I do the hotel/motel visits there are some that I avoid, such as smaller motels that have had prior issues with the hobby. It is a good idea to get to know which are safe and which are not.
Trygger brought up the point about being stopped after a visit. That is a classic scenario that is many times spurred on by complaints and LE is investigating, but not conducting a sting.
As far as providers flipping and working for/with LE, that does happen on occasion, but you would be much more likely to get nailed by an under cover LE acting as a provider.

Most often, LE stings target CL ad providers and get them to come to an outcall location LE has preped already.  The rest of the LE is going to want to get into the room very quickly... as soon as the code word is said...  that the requirements Sex & Money has been met.

In my opinion, checking any closed rooms, bathroom, all doors secured & locked is the easiest way to protect yourself.  If there's a connecting door (RED FLAG) be sure both sides are locked.  I always lock the room door, & the chain gard or other devise.  Usually my Favs & I are groping by then...
If the lady makes any move to unlock that door, (watch the hall door if she uses the bathroom) then I'd be out it.

Thanks to all of you for the advice and information. Especially the idea of using Google News to look for LE tactics, this will be useful to spot when they start trying something new.

I must confess that I've just now noticed the "Legal Corner" forum. Duh! I've been here for over 6 months, made a number of posts, a number of reviews and I've never seen this forum where this is loads of information of interest to me. If it had been a snake it would have bit me. Not very "astute" of me.

Thanks guys,

Astucious

Thanks. I participate in a number of forums that are not related to the hobby. So far I've found this group to be the most civil and polite. Flames and oneupmanship are minimal. Your response is indicative of this.
