Many forms of Hep.  Hep A transmitted by fecal/oral route but not very prevalent in US.  Also, hep A is an acute form of hep.  You could  get sick for a couple of weeks and possibly get jaundice, but most cases are mild and there are few complications.  Hep B and C are more of a concern because can become chronic and cause long term liver damage.  But B and C are blood born pathogens and usually spread by needle stick, transfusions, unprotected anal sex, etc.  So it is very unlikely you have any worries there.  Not impossible but very very unlikely.  In my professional opinion(I stayed at a holiday inn express last night) your gonna live.

How frequent is it in the hobby world?

I am nervous, last night I foolishly rimmed a provider. I can't get it off of my mind, I had trouble sleeping.

Any info would be appreciated...

I read the only review you have ever posted on here and find that you have an obsession with anal play.  Now you rimmed and are scared about it.  Perhaps you need to work on your psyche rather than provider's bottoms.

DC, I gotta say that while the OPs' question is legit, iaprofdom also made a VERY legit comment which was not all that bad, despite the angry emoticon. At best he was a bit snide.

As for the risk question... it's always there... and you can get vaccinated, but there is a series of shots for Hep-A & Hep-B. Three each if I remember.

thats why i stick to providers who ONLY perform covered services

Look Man, I have been where you are. Hell most of us have, If you engaged in any activity that was not covered you put yourself at risk. It means that you also will put anyone else you are with at risk as well. If you are truly concerned go to webmd and read up on your concerns. Then wait the proper amount of time and get tested. That is the only real way to get yourself over this nervousness. You were exposed to more than Hep if you engaged in what you said. What are the chances? slim but they are there. This nervousness/excitement is part of this "hobby" you may find it is not for you. Just remember  civie girls have higher rates of STD's than the "professional" provider. I place emphasis on "professional" meaning that if your provider was or is new to this or does it part time she probably does not carry the same ethical, moral or professional attitudes toward STD transmission as a true PROFESSIONAL provider. That all being said take it easy man as the e-trade baby says what you are concerned about has about the same chances as being mauled by a grizzly bear and a regular bear in the same day.

From your question, you seem( or shoul be) more concerned about Hepatitis A. Hepatitis A is relatively rare in the US, with a slightly higher incidence in MSM ( Men who have sex with Men). Hepatitis A is transmitted maily by the oro fecal route and more prevalent in countries with ppor sanitation. Hepatitis B is transmitted exactly as HIV, but the amount of fluids needed to transmit is 1000th of what is needed to transmit HIV. But there is vaccination for both HEP A and B, you can get a combo vaccine from your provider ( I mean your Doctor provider...LOL)

There just aren't statistics available. However, assuming you live within the United States, infection is relatively uncommon. Your risk for Hep A & B infection decreases even more if you are vaccinated against them. Hep C, as well as the rest of the Hep alphabet (I think it goes to E now), can't be vaccinated against, but are even more uncommon AND/OR are transmitted via blood.

Vaccinations aren't, of course, 100% protection (no vaccine is), and aren't your only concern when engaging in anal-oral play. However, ensuring you are vaccinated against Hep A and B is not a bad idea and will probably help ease your mind. Check to see if you were vaccinated early in your life (many people are vaccinated in childhood and just don't remember). If you're not, most city or state clinics will be happy to get you up to date on your immunizations, and at a low cost.

That said, if it's causing you this much concern, consider either not rimming again, or doing it covered. Or, if you fear you will be tempted against your better judgment, only see ladies who aren't into rimming. ;D

Edited to add link to CDC's hepatitis website.
