Amazing that you know that the site is legit. A poster gave you sage advice, watch your cc for charges that you did not make, some almost certainly will appear over time.

I am in contact with a provider through email that wants me to go to her website and submit a form for verification.  The link she game me goes to her site with her picture and a big logo for Bella Models, which I presume is her agency.  The fishy part is, there is a button on her page that you click and then it asks for information including a credit card number.  This cost $1 dollar.  I did it, and was redirected to a site. This site is just sort of your basic cheap internet porn site and all I get is pop ups and bad shit.  I emailed the provider about this and now she is asking me for the subscription ID that I received in an email.  Is this normal?  The site that she made me join doesn't seem to have anything to do with her or Bella Models.

what you are describing is fishy in my opinion. I'd be very surprised if a well reviewed TER provider was doing it....

Never ever ever go by the pics and ads on an escort mall

Trust only the reviews!

No need for credit cards, third parties billing you, etc. To me, it screams out "scam". Personally, I'd break off contact and watch my credit card for unauthorized charges like a hawk.

A credit card is NEVER needed for verification!  This is a scam.  GREAT DANGER of idenity theft.  At the very least, you'll get charges for porn you never requested & will have to fight to get the charges removed.  Don't do it.

There are no providers who "require" verification via a credit card.

The only purpose of this "scam" is to get you subscribed to a montly billing on some xxx website, which will be very difficult to get out of.

Furthermore, the website might even sell your number for further fraud.

Immediately call your credit card company and have them cancel the current card number and issue you a new one with a new number of course.  Your card is now for all intents and purposes hacked.

The good thing is that the credit card companies are real good at not making you liable for the errant charges.

I would seriously doubt there is even a woman behind this whole thing.

if me, I'd cancel that ccard. Don't be so ignorant, u don't go giving any personal info like that, why the H did'nt you give them your SS#??? too? Comeon.

In this day and age, closing accounts is a bad idea because it looks real bad on your credit report.

The credit card companies will issue you a new card with a new number on your current account without any issue.   They will be very happy to do this without any question when you tell them it is because you suspect fraud.

Just get a new card number from the company.  The old number that the scammers have will be useless, and when they try and charge it again, it will be declined.

I checked out the billing website before I joined, it is a legit porn billing site.  I cancelled the membership as soon as I spent the dollar to open it.  I didn't give the "provider" any further info.

I did something like that a few years ago, and ended up joining a site for "free" for 3 days.  I read everything, apparently after 3 days you would automatically get the monthly membership charged to your card, unless you cancelled in advance, and by more than 24 hours in advance.  So I did, and saveed the email, and also sent it to the billing company, which was different, and copied that to the other company and sent a few more emails that were cc'd and saved to my folder.  In the end, I avoided any further fees, but it was clear that it was going to be difficult if you didn't notify everyone in the chain 24 hours in advance.  I did so, and copied everyone else in the chain with each notification.  Good luck.
