What do you think about my TOFTT idea.  Now the main danger to me with TOFTT is a bait and switch.  Not a lot of options in my area and I like to see a variety of people.  

My idea is:  What if I ask the provider for a face pic AND something in the picture that has today's date written on it?  Do you think I could get many providers to go along with this?  I don't see why they're all so afraid of face pics...

One reason why TOFTT seems reasonable to me is that can't any review just have been posted by the provider to trick clients?

While your idea of asking for a pic may seem like a reasonable request, it mostly will not fly. There are reasons why some women prefer not to show their face.  You could ask for one, but don't expect a reply.  They will simply consider you a pic collector and that will be the end of that.  Besides, what if she requested a photo of you?  I know I've been asked to send one and that's not going to happen.  She has a right to screen in whatever matter she chooses, I have a right to stop the process if she's asking for too much information tat I'm not comfortable with.

As for your comment about a lady writing her own review. That's possible, so are a lot of other scenarios.  One never knows.

Now here is the Catch-22.  There are lots of legit ladies out there whom are just starting out and don't have any history.  I've seen several who were brand new and my experience was wonderful.  I've also had some not so wonderful experiences.  But someone has to take a chance.  So the only thing you can do is to do your research and make a decision.  If the risk is to great, move on.

I'll only add that the general suggestion to newbies is always to see providers with a good review history from reliable reviewers until you have a good feeling for how things should work.

As for the face and something with today's date -- both the face and whatever is used to show the date can easily be manipulated so would be meaningless (not to mention few providers really want to have their face documented for lots of reasons). Moreover, B&S is not the main danger and your approach does nothing to mitigate the worst case outcomes.

That there are stock photos of girls holding up a white sheet of paper? Someone could write the text you asked for... photoshop isn't even needed, there is free editing software that would do the trick.  

Also, while bait & switch is one hazard of TOFTT... ascertaining that it's the same girl  - assuming that you can confirm that it's the same girl with some unmistakable characteristic - doesn't rule out the possibility that she'll do a cash-and-dash, that she'll have a pimp, that she's an upseller, that she's affiliated with LE, etc.

As others have said, just stick with girls who have a proven track record, for now... until you have more experience, and can more aptly assess when a TOFTT might actually be a diamond in the rough.  

With that said, some girls might comply... but most will assume that you're a time-waster, or worse. Or will be busy enough w/other prospective clients who don't require the extra (and potentially dangerous) step of providing a face pic

Well, why don't you post an ISO on your local board with your own face pic attached? I'm sure you'll figure it out pretty quickly.  

Also, except for a NCNS, just about everything that could go wrong with a TOFTT is worse than a B&S.

You think bait and switch is the biggest worry? That is really low on the list of thinned that can go wrong during TOFTT. Just above having a bad session with a hot gal. Bigger worries are getting robbed, getting drugged, betting beat up by pimps, going to jail, etc.  

As to your idea of asking for face pics, sure some guys do that, and a small number of providers will comply, but the majority will just cut off communication with you. Even the few that might comply, how do you know the picture is accurate? (Read Voo-doo's post above.)

Look man we are supposed to be nice on the newbie board, and as the host here, I guess I am supposed to be extra nice, but all I can say to that is "What the fuck are you thinking?" You really can't figure that out? Are you ready to post your face pics all over the Internet and say you are a prostitute? There are tons of really good reasons that providers don't show their face. Not showing their face on ads and then sending face pics to strangers by phone or email defeats that purpose.

Moving on to your last comment about providers self reviewing, of course that is possible and it does happen. That is one reason we tell newbies to see "well-reviewed" providers. One review does not equal "well reviewed." If a lady has 10 reviews with a bunch of them from guys who have written several to many reviews themselves it is a lot less likely that they are self reviews or fake reviews.  

I feel for you if you are in an area where there are not a lot of choices. I am in the same boat actually. I do TOFTT occasionally but I have a lot of methods I use to determine the risk. (Asking for their picture is not one of them) and I have 30+ years of experience.  

I would suggest you either hobby in a  neighboring city where there are more choices of well reviewed ladies, or look for other sites. TER is the largest, and IMO the best review site but it is not the only one, and it is not used in every city. In some areas there are other sites more popular. I can't and won't mention them here, but with research you should be able to find if there is another go to place in your area.
