Since every provider started out at some point with no reviews or reputation, I thought it would be helpful to get a providers take on this issue.

How would you recommend a hobbyist  proceed when they come across a provider who's ad looks great, but can't find enough info online to give the hobbyist a "warm fuzzy" about seeing the provider?

If you're an experienced hobbyist then you can try and see her. If you're a newbie yourself then pass.

Other ways of taking the measure of her would be to check out whether her photos are legit by using Tin Eye or a similar photo software.

But if you are new at this, I would pass and stick with well reviewed providers.

In fact, I would not recomend anyone see an unreveiwed provider unless you get a solid gold recomendation from someone you know and trust well.

You're new at this yourself, and you have to hobbyied for a while to get the feel if a newbie is legit or not.

Since hobbying I've TOFTT a total of 4 times.

1st time was great.
2nd time was bait & switch
3rd time was bait & switch again but same girl (was actually funny)
4th time was a bait & switch (but it was a 2nd provider I had seen before)
5th time almost got robbed.

After that incident I only see girls who are well reivewed, or a fellow hobbyist or provider I'm friends with knows she's legit before I go to see her.

I don't have the disposable income that I used to. So, in order to justify the expense of seeing someone, the provider needs to be a "Slam Dunk"

I'm just going to hold off until the right opportunity comes along.

Sound advice is skip.  Did you ask why she is not on a verification service?  You could refer her.  That way you don't need a story or excuse.  You can volunteer to be her first verified customer.
