The thought of this hobby both excites the heck out of me and is very scaring so I have been reading everything here on TER and doing research and I decided to go ahead and get the p411 verification.  

I filled out the form and got an email next day asking when the best time to call at work.  Next morning at work I had a very inconspicuous voicemail that no one would understand except yourself.  Called back and answered a few questions and now I am a basic member.

So now I am looking for a well reviewed provider and hope to take the plunge soon.  I already am nervous and feel like a kid in a candy store.  Totally unbelievable already and I have not even seen anyone.

Just wanted to let people know my experience so far.  Hope it helps.

It's always recommended that you become verified with SOMEONE! That's the first step in gaining a providers trust....Hope you have fun!

Is it possible to see some providers without this type of verification? Can a pay as you go credit card be used? Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Just remember, the kid in the candy store grabs the first piece he sees. Do your research, see a Lady to your likings and enjoy...

i believe you can use a pay as you go card.  I did not but I think I read that in the FAQ.

How is the P411 different from the myfastpass.com situation in Minnesota ?  

They too were verifying employment etc., and clearing members for an yearly fee. Now there are 100s of these "johns" on the hook, since the cops got a hold of this database of "johns" and providers.

Not sure about the CC, it's possible to see providers without it, but very difficult....
